Enough about Chris Sabat! The only voices that he's good for are Vegeta and Piccolo... He spoiled Zarbon's. Zarbon's voice actor used to be Paul Dobson, and he did a brilliant job. He sounded Australian.

I always thought Sabat made him sound like a midget with throat cancer. >>
My family's hired a guy with throat cancer before- he sounds ASTOUNDING. Not a hint of gruffness...

Currently having a cold, I have to say, most of DBZ's cast in FUNi sounds like they have colds.

Chibi Trunks; Bulma, Karin, Yajirobe, EVERY saiyan except adult Goku, Chibi Goten, Mirai Trunks... that's one big order of cough sweets.

Most ironic of all; I've only heard one person who really has a gruff voice on tv; (gruff, high-pitched voice) and he's an oversmoked, overdrugged and overdrunked comedian...

*goes to listen to Vegeta and Trunks singing to refresh her memories of their wonderful tones*

This is only slightly OT but apparently today is Chris Sabat's birthday. The link I was given does briefly mention that he does smoke.
On hiatus.

I love his Kuwabara. And I hear a lot of guys say they like a character that he does on FMA, though I don't know his name.

Oh! On fma he voices that big guy, Armstrong. He sounds like an overdramatic Piccolo and its just hilarously entertaining to listen to.

And it's totally awesome and fitting.

I don't care who says they don't like him, I think Chris Sabat is a talented man and I love his Vegeta, his Kami, his Kuwabara, his Yamcha, his Armstrong, so there!
Nothing matters (in a cosmic sense.) Have a good time.

I also think Chris Sabat is a good voice actor.I liked his voice for Vegeta better than Brian Drummond's,but I like Scott McNeil's Piccolo & Ted Cole's Yamcha better than Sabat's.But I love Sabat's Alex Luis Armstrong on FMA & Kuabara on YYH.

Sean Schemmel, no question about it. I love how he can sound so commanding at one point, and in an instance he can become such a cheerful, and sometimes gullible sounding guy.

Second to Sean, I think that Chris Sabat's voice as Piccolo is just excellent. Stern, commanding, and serious.

Geez, you guys are completly over analyzing this stuff. I for one, when originally watching FUNi's dub never noticed these peopel were doubling up on roles, seriously. I just enjoyed the dub for what it was, fun to watch.

Sean, will always be my Goku (even though I started with Corlett/Kelamis)
