The Anime is where Future Gohan got his rep from. How many times have we heard that Gohan could beat the androids one on one or if Trunks was a SSJ back then they could have won.

To me that just makes the Future Androids sound like total wusses rather than Gohan being badass, since that implies Future Trunks as a fresh Super Saiyan would be able to defeat one.

I don't really see it. I think it just implies that if Trunks had been a Super Saiyan back then, he could have served as a competent enough distraction for one of the two jinzoningen to allow Gohan to keep his fight 1v1.

@Rereboy it wouldn't be bullshit at all for Babidi to come at a different time, because DBM allows for different decisions to be made.

Given that one of the universes where this special is set is the universe of the same Future Trunks of the original series, that would be weird. Sure, there could be another universe where another Future Gohan and Trunks exists and where Babidi randomly went to Earth later on, I'm not saying that can't happen and be logical given how DBM works, I'm just saying that, given the universes where this is set and the intent of where this is set, that random change would be weird (and yes, kind of bullshit).

If Kaioshin showed up, the story would break. Gohan would be like "Hey Mr. King of Gods, can you help me with this one thing?" and then Kaioshin would say "Yeah sure bro" and then dismissively one-shot 17 and 18 by looking at them. Literally. Invisible eye beams FTW.

Kaioshin could die. That would fix that issue. That would just have to come up with a plot involving Gohan, Kaioshin, Dabura, Babibi and Buu that would end with Gohan alive, Kaioshin and Babibi dead, and Buu still trapped in the ball. As long as Babidi is dead, Dabura would probably be released from his obedience and probably wouldn't cause further trouble to them, so its not like they would actually have to defeat him in battle.

Piccolo didn't forfeit out of respect, he forfeited because Kaioshin was so much stronger. He says exactly that.

Piccolo uses an expression that has been consistently used in regard to power when he states that Kaioshin is superior. And Kaioshin wouldn't even need to be stronger than Buu arc Piccolo to be stronger than the androids (even Cell games Piccolo is stronger than the androids).

Gohan begging for the Androids for help would've been completely out of character. Even asking Trunks (who's still probably just a kid at this point) to help him fight an enemy he has know clue about how dangerous they really could be is even more idiotic. Gohan would rather risk his own life before begging the murders of his friends and mass majority of the human race for help or put Trunks' life at risk before knowing what he's really up against.

I disagree. Gohan was eventually cool with Piccolo and Vegeta despite what they did when they were evil. So him asking the Androids for "help" (while still hating them) doesn't sound too out of character.

Also he doesn't even need to actually beg them. He could lure them to or into Babidi's spaceship and then just watch as Babidi's minions and the Androids all try to kill one another. Sounds like something a smart character like Gohan could plan.

Kaioshin would be more useful than them because he is much more powerful. Besides, the androids would be easy prey for Babidi's magic because they aren't pure of heart (puff, Majin #17 and Majin #18).

Well, it's not like he didn't have permission. Kaioshin was telling Piccolo to fight him. So would it be a greater disrespect to touch a higher level god, or to disobey him?

Every single time someone is noticeably stronger than him. Raditz, Freeza, Cell... well, he blasted Raditz, but he was still shitting himself the whole time and wouldn't face him again without Goku.

He jumped in to distract Freeza when Goku was charging the Genki Dama, and took a death beam for Goku. He showed up to the Cell Games, even though he knew he was outclassed. The Cell Jr. was beating him, and he never ran. Third form Freeza was tearing him apart, yet he stayed even after Freeza transformed. The point I'm trying to make is that he had never run away scared before, yet he treats Kaioshin differently.
