The videos on YouTube really make this game look like a blast. One of them even has "Head Cha La" playing in the background, which is cool except for the fact that it's also the anthem of replaced music. Here's hoping they don't replace the original tunes, at the very least.

I'm so sad. My news about this wasn't in the news part of the podcast like Budokai Tenkaichi was. At least my info was more legit.

Hey, wait.
Did the Atari thread (which seems to be gone now..?) ever actually say this was "Super DragonBall Z"? If I recall correctly, they just said it was "the next DragonBall Z game". Maybe they were talking about Budokai Tenkaichi 2, which we only recently found out about.

Did it ever explicitly say anywhere that Chou DragonBall Z was coming to North America?

They said that this game was slated for a summer release, which would be far too early for a localized version of the next Spike title. Also, I believe that the emblem used for the box art sketches is the same emblem used in the arcade game's logo. While that doesn't mean it's necessarily immune to being reused by another game, it's probably indicative of the fact that the box art was indeed for Super Dragonball Z.

Also, the image file names (directly posted by the Atari administrator) were titled "Super Dragon Ball Z".
Battle High 2, starring Kyle Hebert as well as myself, has been released on Xbox 360, OUYA, PC, Linux, Mac, and Xbox One!

Oh. I guess I missed that. OK.

Since I only looked at the ones you posted, I wasn't sure if you named them that yourself or not.

Thanks.

Am I the only person who is more excited about this game then Sparking 2?I really didn't like Sparking too much, and this game actually looks like a real fighting game.

Doubtful. It's clear that there are numerous people here who hated Tenkaichi.

I personally, am not one of them. I'll be keeping my eye on both games.
Part of why I like Tenkaichi is because it WASN'T a "real fighting game". I've played plenty of "real fighting games" already. :P

Check out this link:

Scroll down (a bit), find the Super DBZ article. Read it. Then answer my question. Please.

It says that Super DBZ has 18 characters. I thought it had 12?
"Destiny"... people claim by force what they desire, wreak havoc upon others in order to acquire it... and they call it "destiny".

18, probably including the extra characters we get on the PS2 version. I can also hope for a new game mode as well.

The arcade had twelve though, right? I wonder who the other 6 are going to be.

*Checks official site* Yep, including Chi-Chi & 17 that's about 12 in total. As far as the other 6 go, my bet is that Craft & Miester are going for more lesser known characters, as well as known ones. Probably a mixture between the two.

Hmm... perhaps some Boo saga characters? However, I would prefer to see:

#19
#20
Ginew
Nappa
Baata
Tenshinhan

Here's the Japanese cover art for the game... courtesy of http://www.meristation.com.

Image Image

By the way, is that who I think he is? Second from the left at the top, near Majin Bu? Is Piccolo Daimao in the PS2 version?

Kaioshin-outfit Gohan...  I want!

Dammit I can't wait for this thing, I'm so psyched with all these nifty treats I've been seeing (as well as the gameplay), I could care less if there isn't a story mode. Though of course, some dialouge before-and-after duels wouldn't hurt.

23rd-Budokai Chichi: "Gohan-chan, you've grown!"
Kaioshin-outfit Gohan: "Please Mom, you've gotta let me save the world."

:P

Piccolo Daimao? Awesome. I could care less for Videl, Chi-Chi's just fine. It also looks like the characters of the back cover on the top are going to be the extra 6 characters. Mecha Freeza?, They should've just had him as a extra character skin. I guess it goes the same for Piccolo Daimao & Majin Vegeta, though it would interesting to see what different moves they have from their counterparts.

Meristation says players will be able to enter character passwords pretty much like we did back in Budokai 3. So players who have a character card for the arcade version can play with their customized fighter. It also means we'll be able to virtually challenge the best fighters in the world.

Nice find. Thanks. So, mecha Freeza eh? Ironically, him and Majin Vegeta were the characters I wanted "right off the bat" in Sparking! NEO. Oh well. At least I'll have them in this game.

Piccolo Daimao... who the heck is supposed to fight him in the story mode? Anyways, he's welcome in my book.

Hey, anyone noticed that the Japanese actually give Goku less space on the covers? Almost every US cover is all about Goku, or Goku against one fighter. However, in the Japanese covers, we get to see a lot of characters. Hmm...
