Yes this is true, and also ssj4 seemed to be the weakest transformation of all. I remember thinking "wow this is it ???" as baby beat the crap out of him. And Vegeta never even became ssj3 and he cheated to become ssj4. What really would have made the show for me was an ssj pan. I can dream.

More like everything I agree, just that is what makes it so hard to fix. Very few of the characters entered in the acrobatic ways the Z ones did. Freeza was the strongest in the universe, ok that makes sense for him to be strong, Cell has not only the genes of Freeza but the Z warriors too, that makes sense for him to be stronger than Frieza, Buu was an ancient threat sealed away by the gods of the universe, that makes sense for him to be really strong. Now we have Redgic who is a random alien bodyguard, but a Goku who could wtf pwn Cell and Freeza has trouble with him. Rilldo is a random robot created by a mad scientist; 1st of all that has been done, and second that doesn't justify being legions stronger than the universal threat that was Buu, nor does his feats. Neither do the feats of any of that later villains.

Really what I think they should have done is played off of elements Akira already established instead of throwing enemies out of nowhere. That is what led to all the other things.

I think that would be pretty interesting. There are official manga adaptations all the time. Like the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX/5Ds/Zexal manga which are based on their anime counterparts, or the Eureka Seven manga for example. Thing is, those manga are only loosely based on the anime. Instead of adapting the story verbatim like manga-based anime, anime-based manga take all the characters but retell the story in a totally different way--they often times introduce new villains too.

A proper GT manga published in Shonen Jump and either written or supervised by Toriyama could fix all those plot holes while offering a more intriguing GT storyline. I'm down for it. Having said that, the time for it is long past. I guess there are those fan-manga though.

EDIT: Ah, totally posted on a bumped topic. But 'tis not my fault. :P

Just to say that I love the fact that this thread has been bumped - I already knew that such "manga" existed (I have long had the scans of the beginning) but now, thanks to this thread I've found all the volumes for sale on a chinese website!

Well, nice to hear that :) And if the page/auction service that you are talking about is taobao.com then we were looking at the same page.

What a coincidence. I was just thinking about GT being made into a manga today or yesterday!
