I don't talk to anyone about Dragon Ball in real life, so it's really through the internet and I'm fine with it.
By the way, English people hate (I do too) the term "soccer" which should never be mentioned and instead Football, it's just a word yet it can make a crapload of a never-ending discussion.
Yay! I'm not alone!

But it was the English who actually came up with the word "soccer".dbboxkaifan wrote:I don't talk to anyone about Dragon Ball in real life, so it's really through the internet and I'm fine with it.

I'm English, I know, I hate the word "soccer" too, but I used it to avoid confusion considering this is a US (mainly) based site. I put "football" first and "soccer" was in brackets as I always use the word "football".

Re: Yay! I'm not alone!
It was amazing when I was talking to one of my co-workers about interests and it somehow lead to anime. Once he mentioned "Oh yeah, did you know the same guy voices a ton of characters in DBZ like Yamcha, Piccolo, Vegeta, and Jeice?" I was able to start a fairly deep conversation about Dragon Ball, even if he only watch the Funimation dub. Finding someone who can simply talk about his favorite Ginyu member was a pleasure. He also mentioned watching and liking Kai, and how it was fast paced and a little more serious.
Another co-worker, slightly older, also mentioned how he was watching the series again after "Outgrowing it" when he watched random VHS fansubs in the mid 90s and how it was disappointing when the characters didn't have a sailor mouth in the English version. Now, although watching the Funimation dub on the orange bricks, he was saying how he can truly appreciate the series. He also mentioned that Zenkai Power was an ear-worm for him lately. Oh, and that he looked up for better releases than the orange bricks because he said he was reading how much footage was missing and messed up, only to see the outrageous Dragon Box prices, which I felt bad about.
Overall I'm glad I can talk to a couple people at work about Dragon Ball here and there because, even if they aren't super hardcore or anything, it just makes me happy to talk about the series.

I think I'll be buying assorted Dragon Ball things for the rest of my life.
