Besides if you want to play as Goku in a game like smash bros, play Super Smash Flash 2 v.09
Or better yet, Super Smash Bros. Crusade. A near-perfect 2D recreation/pseudo-sequel to Super Smash Bros. Brawl, with additional characters including Goku. :)

Feels really clunky. Also I don't understand why final smashes are no a build up meter like all stars battle royal. Also Goku looks silly fighting sprite opponents when his design looks so much better. I can't even charge my Kamehameha and SSJ is for only one attack. I prefer smash flash where I can use SSJ Goku as a form. Goku as a sprite also doesn't look out of place like he does in crusade.

I'll stick to Super Smash Flash for Ichigo. :P Although I have to say I prefer the super meter idea.
I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!

Technically Hero (Beat) could be in the next Smash since he originated in a video game. But Namco will more than likely add Pacman or a Tekken character.

Maybe if Capcom's willing we could see Viewtiful Joe or MagaMan

If from Tekken then it probably would be Jin Kazama, or alternatively: Kazuya Mishima or Heihachi Mishima. Ling Xiaoyu has sort of died and isn't the face of Tekken, unlike the other three.

Although Jin's a badass, I always end up playing with Akuma (Super Saiyan sparkle hair mod) and Kazuya (Super Saiyan body sparkle) on Street Fighter X Tekken (by Dimps). Pretty fun game to play.

I doubt it would be Heihachi, since he's in Playstation All Stars. I wouldn't say no to Jin or Kazuya though.

I feel like this thread should be lock by now since we all know that Goku is never going to be in a Smash Bros game.

Snake is a video game character, Goku is not. Having Snake being in a Smash Bros game makes more sense then having Goku in a Smash Bros game.

IDK why, but I think they'll add Yoshimitsu if anything.

And now that I think about, Beat would actually be a good guest character for Smash.

I would prefer Goku over Beat by miles but I do think he (Beat) could fit better into the atmosphere than Goku. Why? Because he's a kid I feel like he fits the kiddie atmosphere of Smash Bros better, hell he's like a cross between Pokemon trainer, Ness, Young/Toon Link and Sonic. Overall his presence in the game would feel more believable than Goku's. Also dare I say Goku is far too complex of a character to be to fighting along side a bunch of one dimensional heroes who don't really speak.
It's not too late. One day, it will be.

Make it Kid Goku then. I personally think Kid Goku would be better than Adult Goku in smash bros.

Goku most likely won't be in SSB but if he was it would make a lot a of money. DBZ is huge in Japan right now due to BOTG and Goku in smash bros would generate a lot of DBZ fans who didn't get Smash bros before to possibly try it.

Yes Nintendo said before that they only want Video game characters in SSB but that was before Namco Bandai gave them so may resources.

Personally I'd like to see Pac-Man, a Soul Calibur character and a Tekken character in the next Smash bros but if Goku shows up I won't complain.

While I not looking for him to appear and I would be surprised if he did show up I'm not ruling out Goku 100% till the game has all it's characters reveled or he is confirmed out.

I would cream myself if Goku made it into the next Smash Bros. game. Like others have said, however, it's not likely, being a manga character originally. I'm more concerned with the return of Sonic and Snake as third parties than having new ones, although Megaman would kick ass. If I need my fix of Goku in Smash Bros, I've got my Brawl mods.

Bayoneeta is now rumored to be in the game. I personally think a Digimon would work better then Goku to be honest and the chances of a Digimon being in a Smash Bros game is not going to happen.

Which actually makes sense unlike the Goku rumour. Bayonetta 2 is going to be Wii U exclusive, and Nintendo are pretty much funding it themselves.

I would hate it if Goku made it into Super Smash Bros. Sonic and Snake dilute the whole "Nintendo All-Stars" thing but at least they're video game characters. I really don't think Nintendo would let non-video game characters into Smash Bros, especially ones that would require them to go through multiple companies like Goku.

Also being forced to listen to Sean Schemmel's Goku would be the worst.
