Could Goku have used teleport to get around stronger foes?

Could Goku have used teleport to get around stronger foes?

Post by Dark Red Z » Sun May 19, 2013 9:58 am

Like that time he teleported away from Semiperfect Cell, despite openly stating he was currently way weaker than him. If he didn't have Tenshinhan & Piccolo to grab and save, could he have stayed and held his own, making up for his own lack in speed with teleporting, and his lack of power with SSJ+Kaioken?

Hell no. Super Kaioken x20 would barely put him over C-17 IMO, and that's only because I feel it simply adds to the SSJ multiplier meaning it's 70x base.

Oh god in that first half of the sentence I thought you were saying the androids were over 20 times stronger than Goku. So you think when Goku used Super Kaioken against Pikkon he was only 52x base? O_o

Yup. It makes more sense that way seeing how it didn't utterly wreck Paikuhans shit with a Super Kaioken(I think he used x20 not normal Kaioken). Goku could have also used it against Cell and killed him if it was 1,000x base.

Didn't he do that in Battle of Gods. He used Shunkan Ido to get the jump on Birus several times.

How do you get x20 when he clearly didn't say x20?

I don't think Goku has to say x20 every time he uses Kaioken x20. Do you see Goku yelling Kaioken x20 against Freeza? No.

I think that due to the strain Super Kaioken is a dead person only technique. And a useless one at that. Despite at least doubling his power, Goku got tired after one punch. And said punch did nothing to Pikkon.

He's probably referring to the Bardock special. Zarbon was the one who first recommended destroying Planet Vegeta because the saiyans were rapidly growing in strength.

Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

He may have used it but he never said "Kaioken x20!".

A Teleportation + Destructo Disk would have swept both #17 & #18.

I dunno, I get the feeling that if he could barely handle x20 in base, x20 as a SSJ would be far too much to handle even with a dead body. Cause since when do you add multipliers?

SSJ Kaioken x20 would be 2.5x stronger than SSJ3 if it worked liked you think it does. Normal Super Kaioken would also equal a SSJ2 if it worked like you think it does. I find that to be absurd.

I find it to be the only logical conclusion.

I find him using Kaioken x20 in SSJ absurd.

I do as well. Super Kaioken never existed so we don't have to put much though in it. I at most think it would be a 2 times boost if it did as I think it was just called Super Kaioken because he was using the boost in SSJ form.

Thats actually a pretty good idea.
More effective than a Teleport Kamehameha.

Just charge it up, get ready then teleport behind them at close range and throw it.

Pretty much. I think he'd probably blow up.

That's what he did against Boo actually. Of course it had to be the wrong foe who is immune to such attacks.

As far as I know, you can only use teleportation to go directly to the ki of someone you can sense, so all he should be able to do is keep appearing right next to his opponent. I'm not sure how long he could keep doing that before being creamed by them.

That said, he apparently uses teleportation to make up for his lack of speed against Birusu in the new movie. I haven't seen it yet, so I don't know exactly how it goes, but perhaps it is possible.
