Mind if i join spot the bullshit?
11. Why the fuck Babidi is so stupid? He saw earlier, that Gohan won`t resist to use dirty tricks?

Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas get DVD release in 2015
Why the Hell would Babidi take any chances like this? Seriously, he takes energy from Dabura before the fight and for what purpose? He ensured his demise. This special is so fucking stupid.

I thought this special started out decent until the fight with Dabra. Having Gohan win the fight is utter bullshit and it won't surprise me that Gohan will end up blowing up the special ship in the end just before he gets killed by #17 & #18.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

Power levels establish tension and drama. People who care about them (well, people who care about them in a narrative) don't care about the big numbers or the fancy explosions. If you have character A who's so much above character B, who's the main character, you're gonna be left wondering how in the hell character B, the character we're supposed to care and root for, is going to escape the situation or overcome the odds. It makes us emotionally invested.
If character B doesn't escape the situation in a believable way that's consistent with previous events, then that emotional investment is gone. It was pointless tension, pointless drama made just to suck in the viewer. It has no critical value whatsoever. The audience is left believing that the author can just create whatever scenarios he wants and what happens to the characters is decided by whatever the author wants to happen, regardless of the events that happened in the story. Which, in fairness, is what happens, but the audience wants to be fooled. The audience wants to know that the world they're following has rules. That the world they're invested in isn't going to bend to external factors that are irrelevant to them.
An author can do whatever he wants with the characters, that's not false. But the author should also have the responsibility to make sure it fits in cohesively with the other events in the narrative he has created.
I want to see Dabura survive and turn into the good Dabura we see in the anime after the Majin curse lifts. And then he fights the Cyborgs and somehow loses due to some shitty plot device, because Salagir would totally do that.

Dabra would have the flu and his power would drop to 5%, He would then fall down some stairs and be incinerated by the Cyborgs. Is that bullshit enough for you

I'm having Darkseid flashbacks...
Anyway, we're all free to play the bullshit game. But I'm just going to take a break from that to go on a rant.
Fucking Future Gohan just kicked fucking Dabura's ass. This is such fucking horse shit.

He's probably referring to the Bardock special. Zarbon was the one who first recommended destroying Planet Vegeta because the saiyans were rapidly growing in strength.
It was actually Beerus disguised as Zarbon #StayWoke

Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.
Am I the only one feeling sorry for Dabra at this point? The poor sap is brainwashed and only wants the best for Babidi.
It's like looking at a dig being put down.
As for Gohan beating Dabra? I don't mind it that much to be honest. It's just cool to see more of Future Gohan. Even though the fight doesn't make sense,

Future Gohan can't beat Future #17 and #18 which are weaker than Main #17 and #18, yet he can beat Dabra who is as strong as Cell. No, I'm not cool with it, it doesn't make a single lick of sense. It's preposterous.
They could have gotten this same point around by having Gohan, Trunks and the Androids wearing the weakened Dabura due to their being 4 targets then Gohan and Trunks don't attack Babidi like he is bluffing but the Andorids do anyway and then the special ends with the SSJs vs the Androids.

Yeah, seriously. a Combined assault on Dabura would still do jack shit.

Hey, maybe if they drained 80% of his power then- oh wait no, they'd still get massacred.
Better take 95% of his power then.

IKR. Dabura would massacre everyone with only 16% of his power IMO.

Dabura is compared to Perfect Cell, the dude would crush SSJ Mirai Gohan, C-17, and C-18 combined with practically no effort.

I just have a hard time accepting Gohan living from this, not telling Trunks about this experience and then being killed by freakin' #17 and #18. That's like playing during the half time at the Super Bowl only to O.D years later while playing some shitty gig at a bar. Going from a large scale fight only to die from way weaker opponents just doesn't feel right.
