What are the chances of DBZ Movie 3 being the edited one from Cartoon Network? Probably not very high, but it'd nice.

If the Movie 3 in this release is the edited version from Cartoon Network I'll be very happy, I've already placed my preorder on Anime Corner Store.DragonBoxZTheMovies wrote:What are the chances of DBZ Movie 3 being the edited one from Cartoon Network? Probably not very high, but it'd nice.
If anyone has any of the DB/DBZ/DBGT or Maho Tsuaki Sally Japanese single DVD's that they'd be interested in selling send me a PM and I'll see if we can work something out.

I hope, if they're doing this, they include movie 3 as the cut into 3 episodes version they originally aired, along with the redubbed Pioneer-released version.

Re: Listing for "Ocean Dub"-specific DBZ in July
I wonder if there are going to be any special features. Sure, there will be a booklet, but I'm talking about videos. As for the movies, I guess it's not really neccessary but I wonder if they will just be the dub, or if they will have the japanese version like the individual discs.

That doesn't seem terribly "far" to me if they are talking about a complete release of this material. Those are two different dubs, released at different times but both fall in line with what they're marketing: the first two seasons of the TV show (of which the 3-episode movie 3 was a part) and the first three movies (of which the second dub is a part, as well as that 3 movie dubbing production as a whole).superrayman3 wrote:I highly doubt FUNi will go that far for this release, but who knows at this point right?Gaffer Tape wrote:I hope, if they're doing this, they include movie 3 as the cut into 3 episodes version they originally aired, along with the redubbed Pioneer-released version.

Re: Listing for "Ocean Dub"-specific DBZ in July
$58.98 is more than I'd pay (especially since I just recently bought the Ocean dubbed movies) but it's good to see something came of this. For some reason, the listing says "Language: Bilingual - Japanese w/ English Subtitles and English Dubbed." Must be a mistake.

Re: Listing for "Ocean Dub"-specific DBZ in July
That's true but I've never known FUNi to release 2 versions of the same movie (even if they are vastly different in comparison to each other) in the same release which is why I said that, but since this release is a rare case for FUNi they just might make an exception regarding the 2 versions of movie 3 in this case.Gaffer Tape wrote:That doesn't seem terribly "far" to me if they are talking about a complete release of this material. It would be a disservice to include the TV dub of movie three.

Re: Listing for "Ocean Dub"-specific DBZ in July
At least Penguintruth is being clever, but this doesn't affect him in anyway going forward, and that's what irks me. Why does he care so much that he feels the need to make several snide remarks regarding a release he won't buy and isn't indicative of how they are treating the product any more.

Maybe from a collector's standpoint. But the dub itself is a spit in the face when compared to the uncut version. Not even worth watching.superrayman3 wrote:How would having the TV dub of Movie 3 be a disservice? If anything it would be a disservice to not have the TV dub in this release.
