The only instances such tiny gaps worked was on Namek where Vegeta destroyed people who were completely scared shitless and not up for fighting, or in the case of Zarbon dirty tricks. Most other times big gaps lead to not even a very one-sided fight.

Vegeta was able to survive Goku's Kaio-Ken x4 Kamehameha, even though there was a 32000-18000 gap there. Goku and Piccolo were both able to survive attacks from Raditz, Goku was twice as strong as Nappa, yet Nappa was able to somewhat fight Goku. Goku is given a power level of over 900 for his Super Kamehameha in the fight with Piccolo, yet Piccolo tanks that .
Also, consider that many of the enemies post Freeza have traits that would aid them in fights without affecting battle power. I think it's safe to say that the androids are physically stronger and more durable than an organic being of similar power. Cell has an exoskeleton that could increase his durability, and he can regenerate. Buu is Buu
Not to mention that after the Freeza Arc, these characters spend three straight years training intensely, and are masters at manipulating ki for both offense and defense. So, I don't feel that Freeza Arc battle powers should have that much influence on post Freeza Arc powers, simply because so much about the character's power changes after they become Super Saiyans.

Yea, so I'm saying there are more instances in which big gaps are required for a fighter to dominate.

And those big gaps are brought along by transformations. The only two fights that are really that tight are SSJ2 Gohan vs Super Perfect Cell, and that's easily explained by Gohan having a rage boost on top of his SSJ2, and 16 vs Semi-Perfect Cell, which I explain as Cell having high durability due to his exoskeleton.

Not saying that this theory is true, but it's different, it's interesting, and it can work. So I'm gonna try it out :P

Yea so how do you explain small gaps for those huge stomps when it's typically a big gap required :O. Not saying your theory absolutely can't work but I'm just wondering. A 7 million gap seems really tight for me. For a lot of people 100 million is already tight lol, though I think (omg I seriously can't remember my old reasoning since pre-BoG Base Saiyans < Freeza anymore ><) that it should be normal.

Well, the big stomps post Freeza are
SSJ Vegeta vs 19-I have 19 weaker than Freeza, even after absorbing Goku's Kamehameha (since I also have the heart virus severely weakening Goku to where he's weaker than he was on Namek), so having Vegeta at around 3,500,000 in base would make him both slightly stronger than Goku, and easily able to waste 19.
Piccolo vs 20- I have Piccolo around 120-160 million, easily enough to dominate 20.
Imperfect Cell (post) vs Piccolo-Piccolo was exhausted after the fight with 17.
SSJ Grade II Vegeta vs Semi Perfect Cell-This is after the ROSAT training, which is where I have the Saiyans making their highest gains in the series.
SSJ2 Gohan vs Perfect Cell-Rage boos on top of SSJ2.
Ultimate Gohan vs Super Buu-Ultimate Gohan isn't limited to the base Saiyans at 10 million rule.
Vegetto vs Buuhan-I take Goku x Vegeta literally.
