Sonic Lost World was a bad idea and yet they're keeping it for Wii U only, so thankfully that kiddy stuff won't ruin XO/PS4. I want a proper Sonic game not SLW.
Not to derail the thread but Sonic is a childrens' series.
Also it's shaping up to be a great game. 8)
But yeah a Wii U exclusive DB game wouldn't do very well.

Dragon Ball is also for children, not teens or adults. It's CERO A, after all.

Sonic Generations included exactly what the hardcore fans always wanted, and until Sega releases a game as awesome as SG, Sonic Generations will still remain the best.

That's Sonic, this is Dragon Ball. Sonic is a different video game franchise since Sonic has been known to sell well on Nintendo consoles. RoKP did poorly which will give Bandai Namco the idea that they should have Dragon Ball be a multi-platform franchise for now.

Sonic Lost World has literally the same art assets as the Genesis games; Flickys and checker patterned walls included. Unless your talking about the 6 new enemies...well, hey, it's better than not so photo realistic Soleannas and it's inhabitants.

The only way we'll see an exclusive nowadays is if Namco Bandai decide that the a port to the Xbone isn't worth it for the international market.

Um...you're ONLY talking about the super kid friendly edited version right? Because I don't think a show that shows full boob and PENIS is considered something for little kids to be seeing LOL

However way you slice it, the Dragon Ball franchise was and always will be intended for children; specifically preteen boys. Keep in mind that this is a Japanese product from the 1980s and 1990s, so what it considers appropriate may not be in line with what modern western society deems is alright for kids to see.

Before we can turn into a big debate, Dragon Ball is for kids. In Japan, censorship is much different from ours. If you look the Godzilla movies and Kamen Rider shows from the 70's, they have violence and blood which won't be allow for kids in the US but okay in Japan.

Sorry worded my post wrong. I meant what is keeping me in suspense are the things that MS and Sony will announce at E3 such as console price and whether MS will shoot themselves in the foot or not.

I would rather a light hearted kid friendly Sonic game then a darker toned one which is either convoluted or just plain stupid. Aka Adventure 2 (still love this game), Sonic 06, and Shadow the Hedgehog.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

Going Wii U exclusive for Sonic isn't that much of a gamble. Since going third party, Sonic games have always sold better on Nintendo home consoles than the competition. I doubt it took much money to make SEGA agree to making Sonic: Lost World exclusive. On the other hand, Dragon Ball games haven't sold better on Nintendo home consoles since the early 90s when the company had little in the way of competition in Japan. The Budokai Tenkaichi ports sold well on Wii, and the platform had a large userbase so Namco Bandai released Revenge of King Piccolo. That game flopped.

I wouldn't be too optimistic towards Wii U's shot at this year's Dragon Ball game. Namco Bandai announces games practically every week now, and there's never a Wii U version to be seen. Things could certainly change but I wouldn't be surprised to see Dragon Ball 2K13 only for PS3/360.
"I like the money it brings in, but Dragon Ball Heroes is the worst. That's actually the real reason I decided to start working on new material. I was afraid Bandai would make something irredeemably stupid like Super Saiyan 4 Broly." - Akira Toriyama, made up interview, 2013.

....Interesting. To be honest, I'm not a hardcore Sonic fan, the 1st Sonic game I ever played was Adventure 2. And it always gave me the impression that the Sonic franchise was supposed to be this dark, cool, over the top franchise like Dragon Ball Z. And I noticed that it also ripped off from DBZ with certain story elements (Super Sonic = Super Saiyan, 7 chaos emeralds = 7 dragon balls, Shadow = Vegeta, Knuckles = Piccolo, Perfect Chaos = Perfect Cell, Silver = Mirai Trunks, etc) I think the creator of Sonic admitted he was a fan of DBZ which would explain it. But Sonic the Hedgehog is no DBZ, despite how hard its been trying to be like it in games such as Sonic 06, Sonic Adventure, Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, Shadow the Hedgehog, etc.

Hell the anime "Sonic X" which isn't obvious enough that it wishes it was as cool as Dragon Ball "Z"by having a letter from the Alphabet be at the end of the name of your show.

But of course it's not, it never will be. Sonic the Hedgehog is about a blue critter dashing through levels at the speed of sound to save his animal friends and stop the evil plans of Dr. Robotnik (Oh I'm sorry, I mean Dr. Eggman, the politically correct term.....)

That's because Dragon Ball is not as "famous" as DBZ worldwide. The gameplay was fun, and the opening was awesome, but sadly (or not, depends how you see it) it's the casual gamers that power the game market. What casual people want is Z/GT/AF with more characters, so a full DB game couldn't really do that good.

SA2 was one of the worst Sonic games to ever be developed. The only people that still praise it are the blinded fans who haven't played the superior games out there.

Well, they can sell better on a Nintendo console than some other, but that doesn't always exactly mean the game's better, just take these three atrocious examples:
Image Image Image
Sonic Colours is the only modern Sonic game on Wii, not counting the old Mega Drive VC games. Sonic 4's gameplay is god awful so it doesn't count.

Unleashed had the potential to be a great Sonic game, and if the game was Day Stages only, it would have been. The night stages of the werehog ruined it. I haven't even finished it on my 360.

I think i've played every Sonic game, and I still love SA2, it's probably just because of the Chao though. :P

You're being kinda harsh there. SA2B is what got me interested in Sonic in the 1st place (Strangely). I had a Gamecube at the time so I picked it up. I played pretty much all the Sonic games and SA2B was not one of the worst. The chao garden was very addictive. The worst would probably include: Sonic 06, Shadow the Hedgehog, Sonic and Secret Rings, Sonic and the Black Knight, and Sonic 4. And the best would probably include: the original 3 on the Genesis, both Sonic Adventures, Sonic Colors and Sonic Generations.

I don't understand the hate SA2B gets all the time. The multiplayer mode was fun, you get to race against your friends and beat the living tar out of your friend's chao in chao karate! It had a bunch of fun mini games. I'll be honest the story mode did had the least replay vaule, it was the chao garden and battle mode is what extended the life of the game.

P.S. I didn't mention Sonic Unleashed anywhere in the lists above because I have a love/hate relationship with that game. I love the day stages but I hate the werehog stages. So my position is neutral for this game.

Outside the classic games and Generations what game was better than SA2B?

Then again Sonic 06 was the only bad Sonic game I ever played and I gave that a D.

Me being blinded would be saying there are no problems with it and it's the best game ever. I like Generations more. SA2 is still a fun experience. The Sonic/Shadow levels are awesome. The Tails/Eggman levels I can enjoy but are only alright. The Knuckles/Rouge levels are decent as I kinda like them (except for their space levels, those I fucking hate). The music I love. The multiplayer is fun but glitchy at times. And I personally don't care much for chao raising. All in all it's a fun game. I suggest you look into the Sonic library if you think SA2 is one of the worst developed. There are a lot worse in the long line of games from the classic and modern era.

Back on topic I'm sure DBZ will not be at e3 as it will be destroyed by the competition. It will probably be at a japan game show or something.

By that logic they shouldn't release any DBZ game info at all this year let alone the game since this year's E3 and general video game news is currently and still will be dominated by console news from Sony and MS and whatever games they announce at E3.
