Quick "Dan Dan Kokoro..." Question

Post by Daizensushi-x » Thu Apr 20, 2006 8:24 pm

Ok, so I am fully aware of the japanese opening of Dragonball GT. But I was searching on the internet somewhere (I won't say where I get my music 8) )
And I found the GT opening, but with FEMALE VOCALS. Where in the show is this played?

Thanks in advance.

You've found the opening by ZARD. I don't think it was played in the series. You see, the song was originally done by the lead singer of ZARD, but FIELD OF VIEW decided to play the song first, before ZARD's single was ever released. How they did this, I have no idea.

It was originally written by Izumi Sakai (the lead singer of, and pretty much the sole real "member" of, Zard). It's common for songs to be written by artists to be performed by other artists. Later on, she recorded it herself.

It was brought to my attention a while back that a similar thing happened with "Sabitsuita Mashingan de Ima o Uchinukô". It was written by Miho Komatsu but performed by WANDS. Later on, Miho Komatsu recorded her own (vastly different) version of the song.

It's all definitely some neat stuff if you're a fan and love the songs! The more versions, the merrier!

Happen to know if there are any specific soundtracks where one could find that version? I was completely unaware there were two different versions of the song (even if it is changed up). o_o

It's on Zard's 7th Album, which is listed on this fansite: http://www.zardnet.com/zardthebest/disc ... bum07.html

I was asking about "Sabitsuita Mashingan de Ima o Uchinukô", not ZARD's version of Dan Dan. :P I've definately heard that one.

 Woah, two versions of "Sabitsuita Mashingan de Ima o Uchinukô", I myself would like to know where to get this, or perhaps a sample?

The song can be found on Miho Komatsu's album "Nazo" (Catalog No.: AOCS-1001, Release Date: 1997/12/03). It's track number 7.
Unfortunately neither cdjapan nor Amazon Japan have a sample.
