DBZ games aren't really that popular. I think it's best to unveil during something like Tokyo game show.

Um...you're ONLY talking about the super kid friendly edited version right? Because I don't think a show that shows full boob and PENIS is considered something for little kids to be seeing LOL
However way you slice it, the Dragon Ball franchise was and always will be intended for children; specifically preteen boys. Keep in mind that this is a Japanese product from the 1980s and 1990s, so what it considers appropriate may not be in line with what modern western society deems is alright for kids to see.
This.

In the 90's in European countries it aired during the mornings and evenings so that kids and teens/adults could watch it because at night it's time to rest for the next day.

That's an awful reason. Tamagotchi is far better than SA2's Chaos Garden.

I don't understand the hate SA2B gets all the time.
1) You'd been better off with Sonic Heroes, because even though they're both mediocre games, Sonic Heroes is still the better of the bunch.
dbzfan7 wrote:The Sonic/Shadow levels are awesome.
I agree, just within the Sonic & Shadow stages because the rest is uninteresting and they wasted Tails stages by making her use a robot.

That's possible. Dragon Ball games really aren't that profitable or played throughout the world as it used to.

I disagree. Heroes controls are slippery beyond belief. Team Chaotix sucks. Nobody wants to be Team Amy for the tutorials (there only good for the emeralds). And every level is the same but either easier, harder, or a dumb Chaotix mission. Special stages are also a bitch. I still rather enjoy SA2 with my only serious gripe being the damn emerald space levels or poor radar system. I don't mind the mechs, but they seem to be in the wrong game.
dbboxkaifan wrote:I agree, just within the Sonic & Shadow stages because the rest is uninteresting and they wasted Tails stages by making her use a robot.
I hate how they made Tails use a robot and tease you with his regular abilities in Chao gardens. My only gripe with his gameplay in SA was that it was too short. Eggman should have had more robots instead of just one. Or have all mech gameplay like Eggmans space level which was actually really fun. Or just not have mechs at all and give Tails his levels back.

They aren't that popular now. So who knows what could happen.

Stay on topic.
F*** Sonic, except for Sonic 2. No More Sonic discussion.
Guys saying animated penis is okay for little kids to see even if it's in a different country are kinda dumb.
When is this E3 thing that "apparently" has news of this "apparently" existing game?
How much longer will that stupid Facebook page troll us?

UH OH!

And yes, this got quite off topic. But that's what happens when people long waited for reveal at beginning and then got trolled.

There is nothing left to talk about about the "conquer the world" game. That is why we went off topic. There is so little information out there right now on this mysterious dbz game. I don't know how we ended up talking about Sonic; thats how much Namco Bandai is driving us crazy I guess.

UGH! Well I honestly don't think we'll get any news from E3, the PS4 and Xbox One is gonna steal all the attention away; Nintendo figured this out, even they cancelled their E3 show because of that. But NB is still entitled to release a dbz game this year; it will most likely be at Japan Expo the more I think about it. That is the most realistic outcome at this point.

Until then, there is nothing else for me to add this discussion. I'll just spend the month of June raising Chao in Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. See you all in July!

TGS takes place the second week of September. That would give Namco Bandai a window of less than two months of marketing to make the typical November launch. Games that are announced and released within that kind of time frame are usually for phones, are incredibly low budget, or are trash.

I have to ask, have you ever watched or read Dragon Ball? I assume you have because you're posting on this forum, but comments like that leave me a bit unsure. None of the nudity in Dragon Ball is graphic in nature, and more importantly none of it is meant to arouse the viewer. It's either played for laughs or an acknowledgement of the fact that these characters follow the human anatomy. With Goku it is almost always the latter. He goes swimming, but doesn't want to get his clothes wet so he gets naked. When I was Goku's age I had a penis too ... well, I've always had a penis and I imagine that's the case for most males watching the show. To be offended by that is akin to being offended at the human body and naturally some societies have no problem with that.

Well I loved raising my Sonic Chao, or later my Chaos Chao, once I completed the game I still played through it to get the chaos drives for my Chao. Besides that I loved Sonics and Shadows missions. :)

It kind of sucks how we have no info at all yet, but at least we'll only have to wait about a month until we hear something about the game.

SA2 was one of the worst Sonic games to ever be developed. The only people that still praise it are the blinded fans who haven't played the superior games out there.
Super Saiyan Prime wrote:Going Wii U exclusive for Sonic isn't that much of a gamble. Since going third party, Sonic games have always sold better on Nintendo home consoles than the competition.
Well, they can sell better on a Nintendo console than some other, but that doesn't always exactly mean the game's better, just take these three atrocious examples:
Image Image Image
Sonic Colours is the only modern Sonic game on Wii, not counting the old Mega Drive VC games. Sonic 4's gameplay is god awful so it doesn't count.

Unleashed had the potential to be a great Sonic game, and if the game was Day Stages only, it would have been. The night stages of the werehog ruined it. I haven't even finished it on my 360.
Woah bro woah! I liked Sonic and the Secret Rings.

I'm with SSPrime on this one. There's nothing wrong with a naked human body in and of itself. When it becomes graphic/sexual in nature, sure, but a nude body can be shown innocently. We were all born naked, a lot of us may even die naked(Although that instance of nudity could possibly be graphic :P ).

Accidents happen... Or, in some other cases, changes happen.
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Well, yeah, there's like a man that cut off his cock because of some argument with his girlfriend and then he flushed it away. It would've been possible to get it back to its place but only god knows where the hell that thing is now. :P

He probably regretted right after doing so.

To be fair, Goku's penis was more of a little "u" inside of a big "U" hardly anything obscene or adult. The show is for kids, that's a fact. That's why in Japan Kai aired in the morning with other shonen animes targeted at the 9-12 demographic. It's also why in the US and Europe the show aired on Cartoon Network, the CW's Saturday morning block and Nicktoons. The show has never been aimed for adults, although adults do enjoy it.

And yes, the "suggestive" themes in Dragonball weren't all that suggestive in Japan at the time of it's original airing. That doesn't mean they aren't kid friendly they just had different broadcasting standards. Those standards have changed it seems, and it's probably why Kai saw censorship in it's own country. Not to add anymore fire to the Sonic flame(I'M SORRY!) but it's like saying Sonic is for adults because Shadow has been know to slip "damn" into his dialog every once in awhile.

I haven't seen a dedicated marketing campaign since Namco-Bandai took over. With Kai on both Nicktoons and the CW they could make mad money advertising on those stations. 2v2 matches would be interesting too. But so far, there isn't even a game yet. I really wish I knew what was going on on that Facebook page. Seeing as how they started all of this, I'd like to know what they have been up to.

I think the first RB game is the last DBZ game that I saw any TV spots for. I guess Namco Bandai does not market these games very well because they know that the only people who buy them are the fans and they also haven't sell very lately neither. Marketing stuff on TV cost a lot of money and I seen people lose money because they spend so much money on marketing on something that bombed.
