I don't but the partially censored 3-in-1 edition I received is dated at the beginning:



Does this mean next month? Maybe. Frankly until it's reprinted, you'll be buying a faulty product because what you see isn't what you get. I wonder what'll actually be on shelves and in homes of North America and Canada next week.

Usually, when there's a flaw or a mistake, editors rush to push out the corrected printing, even sometimes recalling the faulty printing. Not sure if that will be the case.

Are the words in my VizBig censored a whole lot. Because sometimes the characters say odd things like whoopey for SSJ2 Gohan.

Other than the cover art it's just a reprint of the Vizbigs without the color... seems better to just buy the vizbigs.

For the umpteenth time, this is supposed to be an uncensored run. It says so on the book itself, and Viz confirmed that there being any censored pages at all was a mistake. They said it will be fixed in reprint. Ask them when that will be if you want. I'd certainly like to know.

It'd honestly be kind of nice to have a release of this series in English that I actually feel like supporting. I want to give my money for quality products when I can, that's why I finally paid FUNimation for the DBoxes and Kai, but ANOTHER Censored release when we are promised ON THE COVER Uncensored?!

I just REALLY hope this is really a mistake as they say and this gets fixed. And for the record, I only wanted to buy this release to support a quality release in the states. Until then, or if it's never corrected, I'll stick with my Kanzenban... in all their (Mostly, I know about the cigarette things) uncut glory.

Just one shot of one cigarette (As far as I can recall, I haven't gone though them in a while, they've mostly been in a box for like a year)

I've heard it explained it was because this period of the series she's 16 and they didn't want the manga to continue to promote smoking to teenagers. If it were an actual story relevant event that was being edited, I'd be upset about it, but being just one of those random shots that Toriyama drew as a chapter cover that has literally nothing to do with the story? Yeah, not an issue.

Also, there are other art edits in the Kanzenban which some claim taint the Kanzenban as well, but these weren't done as censorship and they mostly fix errors. I understand some people want the art the way it originally was, but... a lot of the art was originally color which isn't preserved in the tankobon, so it's a bit of give and take there. The other stuff isn't really major anyway, like times when Toriyama forgot to draw a part of a character or a piece of clothing corrected, the Welcome sign in the afterlife changed from "WELL COME" to "WELCOME" etc. The new ending is a pretty obvious one too. Because the only one you can actually call Censorship is a chapter cover that has no effect on the story, I let it slide.

This time tho? No. Viz put Uncensored on the cover. If this is really an error, I want it fixed by the time my preorder ships (I preordered the first 3 together, so they'll all ship when vol 3 is released, giving me ample time to cancel my order if this isn't corrected)
I want uncensored bird flipping. I want uncensored nudity gags. Later on, I want uncensored character names like Mr. Satan. I want what Viz promised on the cover.

Really, seems silly. I also saw a comparison video from Penguintruth where his manga showed Goku say damn where in my vizbig Goku says rats in relation to dying before he can fight the Cyborgs.

If I remember correctly, Gohan was being sarcastic when he said it.

As for "damn" vs "rats," I have no opinion. It's not like it was changed to "fiddlesticks" or "applesauce."

All I can say is... let Viz Media know you're unsatisfied: send e-mails, contact them on Twitter/Facebook, etc. It's their responsibility to ensure the quality of their product.

It sucks that news of this didn't come out sooner. I had a friend buy one from a bookstore today and texted me because he was PISSED that there's still nudity edits. I told him to definitely let Viz know.
