There IS a possibility that the power of the Dragon Balls and the magic they possess come from the Demon Realm / MaKai of the DB World.
Apparently, ''our'' world is ruled by science and natural / explainable phenomena whereas the Demon world is ruled by magic.

So, my guess is that Namekians (who were originally considered Demons - from the Demon world) have some kind of connection with the Demon World and can perform feats of magic.
And, therefore, have the power to create the Dragon Balls.

I find this really interesting. It's like, everything connects with each other, don't you think?

Only Piccolo Daimao was considered a demon, and that's because he was literally pure evil, the pure evil half of Kami. Regular Namekians are a kind and peaceful race.

Or since the Namekians can perform magic, magic is an ability to materialize and in other times use ki in previously not thought of ways.
Universally, using ki to shoot and fly with it is normal. Earthlings such as Mr. Satan sees this as "tricks" and "magic".
Being more advanced in ki manipulation would give you more abilities to manipulate ki. Because that's pretty much the basic concept of using ki.

The Namekians have Dragon Balls and they certainly aren't demonic. I don't see why they would rely on demonic magic to grant wishes.

Yes, but accordingly the DB World (upper part of the living world) is ruled by science. How can magic be created like that?
I guess some magic can be produced.

Does "ruled by science" mean that there's no magic at all? Or that the majority of the upper world's population can't do magic and rely on science instead?
