Why don't I get any of these emails? I mean, I was actually charged before anyone else.

Re: Dragon Boxes coming in, will keep up to date...
So I finally sent Amazon an email today asking them about my order, especially since the expected ship date for my box's came and went without any word. Here's what I sent them:

Comments:DragonBall Z: Dragon Box 2 (ep.43-84)
Comments:Hello! I ordered 2 copies of DragonBall Z: Dragon Box 2 (ep.43-84) on May 3rd 2013, and the estimated ship date was May 21-29. Well, the 21-29 came and went and I didn't even get so much as an email telling me whether or not Amazon.ca even has the item in stock. I understand that Amazon.ca is trying very hard to fulfill several orders of Dragon Box 2, but at this point I'm getting a little concerned that my order will not be fulfilled. I'm very tempted to cancel my order at this point, but I may never find a price this good for DragonBall Z: Dragon Box 2 again. Please, could you at least tell me ANYTHING pertaining to this item? Like if any other customer's that have ordered Dragon Box 2 have been fulfilled? I don't need specific info, just a simple yes or no as to whether or not any orders have been or are being fulfilled. If I don't find out something soon I will be extremely disappointed. Thank you for your time.
here's their reply:
Thank you for writing to us at Amazon.ca.
We are very sorry for the delay in completing your order because we do not have your item in our inventory.
When a customer orders this item we normally obtain it from a supplier who can usually send it to us within the time frame originally listed on our site when you placed your order.
However, in this case, the supplier was not able to send the item to us by the original estimate. This typically happens when the supplier has limited to no inventory available and Amazon or other stores request the item infrequently. We notified you as soon as we learned that the status of this item had changed.
Based on the information that we have received from the supplier, we currently expect to be able to ship your order to you by June 1, 2013. So your order will reach you more quickly.
To help compensate you for this unexpected change, I upgraded the method of shipment for this order to "Expedited International Shipping" at no additional charge and waived off shipping charges from your order.
When your order is shipped, we will send you an e-mail confirming the date, contents, and method of shipment. You may also check the status of your order online at any time by clicking the "Your Account" link at the top of our web site.
If you prefer, you may cancel unshipped items online by following these steps:
1. Click the "Your Account" link at the top of our web site.
2. Click the link that says "Cancel orders."
3. Sign in with your e-mail address and password.
4. Click the "View or change order" button on the relevant order.
5. Click the button that says "Need to cancel an item?"
6. Click the checkbox next to "Cancel 1 item" for any items you'd like to cancel. Click the "Cancel checked items" button.

Quite a few bits of their reply seem to be different compared to OmegaRockman's so IDK what to make of it, it seems like there might be a chance but I don't know for sure, on another note I checked my order on Amazon.ca and here's the current delivery estimate.

So you're NOT paying shipping just because you sent them an email asking about the order? That's freaking awesome.
And was there any specific reason for sending a message that is almost word for word like that of OmegaRockman?
I just received one of those emails, by the way, but my shipping/delivery estimate dates remain the same.

Yeah that bit caught me completely off guard when I read that considering all I was inquiring about was the status of my order.Bagginses wrote:So you're NOT paying shipping just because you sent them an email asking about the order? That's freaking awesome.![]()
Yeah probably not my best move, but think of it this way, most of the things OmegaRockman had to say are pretty much the same points most people would have said either way, that and no matter how I worded it I would have ended up saying the same thing in the end either way.Bagginses wrote:And was there any specific reason for sending a message that is almost word for word like that of OmegaRockman?
Hmm that sounds odd did they mention anything in the email about changing the shipping/delivery estimates?Bagginses wrote:I just received one of those emails, by the way, but my shipping/delivery estimate dates remain the same.

Whoa, Amazon.ca Customer Service is pretty fast and efficient!
In a matter of minutes after writing to them they gave their feedback:
It's nice that they've waived off the shipping charges making it cost a bit less. From £41 to £36.

We are sorry for the delay in completing your order.
Sometimes unexpected fluctuations in supply can add time to our original availability estimate. We have learned that "DragonBall Z: Dragon Box 2 (ep.43-84)" is now back-ordered, and our supplier is not able to tell us exactly when they expect to have more in stock. I apologize that you were not notified sooner of this change.
To help compensate you for this unexpected change, I have waived off the shipping charges for your order.
I understand that removing the shipping charges will or never in no way compensate for the inconvenience caused, please understand that we do care for our customers and do all we can to avail this item for you, inspite of all the efforts our reliance on suppliers and manufacturers for information about their stock, has caused this disappointment. I am extremely sorry for this situation.
Meanwhile, I can assure you that we are working hard to obtain this item for you and we will ship it as soon as we are able to obtain it. This means that we will ship the item as soon as we receive it from our suppliers.
You won't be charged until we ship it to you. On the date of shipment, we'll send you an e-mail confirming the date, contents, and method of your shipment.

As with anything, you can only sell something for a price someone is willing to spend. What you might want to do is start an auction at a low price but place a reserve for what you would like to get for it, then you can decide whether or not you want to sell it if the highest bid does not meet your reserve.Bagginses wrote:Hey guys, do you think it's possible to sell an used Dragon Box 4 in like-new state for a decent price these days?
