Personally, I would love them to licence Sailor Moon, hell, even Dr. Slump, but a Battle of the Gods announcement would be nice.

I hear it's the license to the classic 110 episode epic, Legend of the Galactic Heroes, from the 1980s.

Starring Brad Hawkins as Reinhard von Lohengramm and Travis Willingham as Yang Wenli. Wih Lason Leibrecht as Seigfried Kircheis and Aaron Dismuke as Julian Minci.

It comes in four sets, with a hardbound episode and character guide in each and DVD/Blu-Ray commentary by Tyler Walker, the ADR director for the dub.

(Psh, I wish.)

Highly unlikely but I want a redub of the Evangelion TV series or at least a Blu Ray release.

I would love to see them licence more live action stuff. I think Garo is a good toku show that can work and I can see it doing well on Toonami.

Both Sailor Moon, and Dr. Slump are very likely candidates for FUNi to announce but if it's neither of these shows I can think of two shows that I'd like to see them get that need some english love but have yet to get any, though the chances are slim to none.

Maho Tsukai Sally say what you will this series is actually pretty good and deserves an english release for once since it never got one, although the odds of FUNi getting this one would be a BIG stretch considering how old the series is (the show will be 50 in 2016 for anyone wondering).

The original Kinnikuman anime From what I understand the Kinnikuman toys that were released in the 80's under the name MUSCLE were a big hit with american children so it baffles me as to why the anime never got an english release, the show's not as old as Maho Tsukai Sally but it's still pretty old.

I know both of these shows aren't the best candidates for announcement but one can hope right?
If anyone has any of the DB/DBZ/DBGT or Maho Tsuaki Sally Japanese single DVD's that they'd be interested in selling send me a PM and I'll see if we can work something out. ;).

I don't buy dvds that often, but if it is a licence-rescued Sailor Moon, I might actually buy it. Sailor Moon is the series that got me into anime after all.
On hiatus.

Ditto hopefully FUNi will have acquired Sailor Moon and if they have I hope they release the edited DIC dub in a collectors box set for those that grew up with it (if they can do it for DBZ why not add Sailor Moon to the mix as well?) as well as announce an uncut redub.

Now that I see it. It could possibly be Sailor Moon, Dr. Slump, or another famous anime. If they're really into setting a goal like that, it has to be something pretty big!

But, if it is Sailor Moon or Dr. Slump, I will be happy to add it to my anime collection! :D

I doubt they would build up hype for "now that we have 1000000 likes we are proud to announce the licence for some random 13 episode high school girl anime that nobody knows about".
I'd actually like to see Sailor Moon Re-dubbed.

That's only possible if the recordings still exist which I doubt, and it's unlike the ocean dub of the movies and 53 episodes because they were responsible for the production. Adding another company to the mix for that type of release would be a bit much. Also Dic went defunct in 2008 and I don't think they even had the rights to Sailor Moon when they were acquired by DHX media.

I don't see how it'd be any different compared to a usual license rescue, hell FUNi did a lot of license rescue's for anime did by other companies (ADV and Geneon come to mind) so how would DIC's version of Sailor Moon be any different? And yes DIC lost the right's years before they were acquired by DHX.

Dr. Slump came out over 30 years ago. I think someone like Discotek Media is likely to pick up since they have been known to release older anime on R1 DVD.

A new release of 'End of Evangelion' would be awesome.

The Manga release was terrible...
It is in his character to be rude and a bit crass. He's a hick, with no formal education. That is Son Goku. That is who he is.

Superman in an orange Gi was the bastard son of FUNimation. Its not The real character, it is as false as Chatku.

The rights to The End of Evangelion went back to Gainax from what I can remember. I remember the people on the Criterion forums try to have them get the rights to The End of Evangelion: Renewal, but nothing happen. From what I've been told that the license to Evangelion cost a lot since I remember reading that it was notorious for being hugely expensive for ADV when they licensed it.

Perhaps they have the license to Rebuild of Evangelion 3.0: You Can (Not) Understand Why They Did A 14 Year Time Skip.

Ugh.

That's true, the show came out in the early 80's, but remember, there's also that late 90's show with modern day animation. But even then, the 80's show gotten recent DVD releases in both Spain and France with new dubs, kind of like Sailor Moon recently.

I honestly can't remember why I cast him as such. I made up that cast years ago.

I put more thought into my California dub casting.

Maybe they'll finally release Rainbow: Nisha Rokubou no Shichinin on home video.

...of course, that's nothing but wishful thinking. Man, I really wish they would release it.

If it isn't DB related, I'm kinda hoping for a Bandai rescue or Saint Seiya rescue. I was planning to get Cowboy Bebop on DVD right around the time Bandai stopped DVD releases and the prices shot up. It would be nice if Funi could release some Gundam stuff, too. I would love to buy G Gundam for a NOT ridiculous price... But my biggest hope is Battle of Gods or more Dragon Boxes.
