Corlett has always been my favourite Goku after Sean. He sounds really heroic as Goku and is just good to listen to.
That's why I disliked Corlett and Schemmel. I don't want a Goku that "sounds heroic".
Corlett's Goku sounds like every other bland male hero in an action cartoon. He has no zest.

Maybe. Was their a flashback of Vegeta's death scene in the Cell Arc? That would have been the only place I would have seen it.
No, none at all with that particular scene as far as I'm aware.
My favourite art style (and animation) outside Toriyama who worked on Dragon Ball: Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru, Masaki Satō, Minoru Maeda, Takeo Ide, Hisashi Eguchi, Katsumi Aoshima, Tomekichi Takeuchi, Masahiro Shimanuki, Kazuya Hisada

I was probably imagining it then. My mistake.

Mr. Drummond's Vegeta has one of those really recognizable villain voices like Megatron, Skeletor, and Cobra Commander. The type that really sticks out. And before anyone goes on about how "Vegeta isn't like Megatron, Skeletor, and Cobra Commander," they were all evil power-hungry murderers so they have that in common. (Well, 2/3 as while just as evil and lustful for power as the others, I don't recall Skeletor offing anyone. Torturing, but not killing).

Since you live in the Netherlands, would you be interested in anything in English?
Five pages late, but yes: many cartoons, including DBZ, used to be aired in English with Dutch subtitles here. These days, not so much, though... except for Cartoon Network which lets you switch audio tracks and subtitles to your own preference, which is pretty neat.
Ok. Figured you'd only watch in Dutch or Japanese with Dutch subs, so was wondering on why the English release.

If it gets a price cut then maybe. Any spare money I get will go towards saving up for a Wii U and or PS4.

I want to make sure this doesn't get sold out before I get a chance to get it. Is there a way to make the dollars show up as pounds so you know how much you're paying and also a way of checking if they'll post to your location?
Simply just pre-order from Amazon.com and then when it's ready they'll ship it. It's that easy.
I've pre-ordered before the Dragon Boxes and Kai Parts from Amazon.com but for this, I'll just wait till 13 August 2013 and see if a third party seller pops up with a more reasonable deal on Amazon.co.uk because I don't want to pay for any extra fees than the item + shipping itself.

Goku is definitely heroic. Sure he loves to fight but he's a hero. Anyways, I disagree that he's bland. While the script could've left in Goku's true personality, Corlette is such a good actor that he made the material he was given work.

Actually now that I think about it Funimation couldn't have picked a worse time to release this since a lot of people will be focusing their money on getting consoles and games after all the announcements at E3.

I doubt this release is make or break for FUNi.

This release is for a very specific audience which don't forget, it's only available for a limited time.
I'll be buying it early because sure as hell won't purchase it if the price bursts up $200-$600 like Dragon Box 2.

About 5 months back I was trying to find the Arrival DVD, or even better the Saiyan Saga box. Looked everywhere, ebay, online shops that might still have had dusty stock sitting around. Nothing.
The announcement of this set came as a nice surprise and I will definitely be picking it up. Hopefully it has some nice extras too, but I won't hold my breath.

Peter Kelamis did an excellent job as the English Goku and Drummond as Vegeta. Sabat is just.. Sabat.
No... Ocean Goku's delivery is terrible. Drummond is... well I can't really speak for Drummond but I can't say I like the Saturday morning cartoon villain voice just yet. I don't see what's wrong with Sabat's Vegeta, have you watched Kai?

Yeah, Chris blows Drummond out of the water.

That clip only showcases their screaming/yelling and I really don't think Sabat is that great of a screamer. It's especially evident in Z with the amount of effects used on his voice not to mention the loud music. In Kai it's better but when you compare Drummond's early Z work where he wasn't holding back his power ups are far better than anything Sabat did.

I don't get why people like Drummond's scream. I don't find them good at all. He sounds like he belongs in a mental asylum
