Nice to see Treevax has an inside look at Namco-Bandai. I'm hoping this big project they're working on it well-worth the wait!

I hope so too. I feel if Treevax is helping it should actually be good.

Don't count it on being good yet. Namco Bandai or whoever is working on the game can still fuck it up. Something awesome on paper can always turn out to be a total train wreck. As for now, we know nothing about the game and people should not get hype up yet until we hear more about the game.

Treevax's message has me feeling more hopeful about the next game. Can't wait till it's revealed.

I don't want to be negative about the new game... I really hope that they will make a good game this time. I want both quality & quantity, and I know that it's possible to happen.
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

It has to be a good DBZ game or else DBZ games are done. The backlash Namco Bandai will receive it's bad will kill off the possibility of a DBZ game after this upcoming one.

I have seen in the comments on Treevax Facebook page, someone said that there will be something before the Japan Expo, sooner that we would expect. The so-called Plan to Conquer the World will start. If this is correct, we can assume that still in June we will have some news..I'm pretty confident, and I believe in Treevax words, he's a fan like we are..If he says that what he have seen is pretty cool, then I'm happy :D

Treevax's statement? I agree, that was a good choice to release the HD collection and DBZ Kinect to hold things over while they work on something even better to make it twice as good. Rushing development has been their downfall for the past several games.

Xbox One is not going to get a Japanese release. The chances of a DBZ game on Xbox One is likely not going to happen. I think DBZ games got a release on the 360 is because the 360 is popular in the US and we have one of the biggest gaming markets. That's why games like Tekken 6, Resident Evil 5, Devil May Cry 4 and Final Fantasy 13 went multi-platform because the 360 did so well. The Xbox One is likely going to bomb just like Jaguar and Dreamcast then DBZ games might be only on the PS4 only or on both on the PS4 & Wii U.

Not as though anyone would WANT an XboxOne (speaking as an Xbox 360 owner.) We'll most likely get a Dragon Ball game for the PS4 in due time... but it's a long while off.
Nothing matters (in a cosmic sense.) Have a good time.

I have a new theory: As soon as E3 week is over, we'll have something about the new dbz game right away next week

I won't be surprised if the game is announced in Shounen Jump next Monday. This way, they could already show the gameplay and a playable demo at Japan Expo in July.

A game being big doesn't give me any hope that it's going to be any good. I won't get excited or anything until they reveal it.

Dimps has produced plenty of awesome Dragon Ball games, Spike's done OK.
FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:
- Kai 2.0 on Blu-ray

I'd personally prefer a new developer (though one with some solid street cred) to handle the DBZ franchise, but I tend to always give Dimps and Spike the benefit of the doubt, even if it's led to some disappointment in the last couple of years (RB 1/2, UT, DBZ for Kinect.) I know they're fans of the series and WANT to make a decent game, but seem to run into many hurdles.

I do look forward to what the "big" announcement is...

Dimps doesn't need to work with a mediocre developer when they can very well do much better than them for 3D games too, not just 2D games.
