I'll admit I do like the lack of fisticuffs here, it's fresh.

So teleporting the enemy to whatever place so they couldn't go back to the arena (either because it's "another dimension" or just very far away) is allowed. That's stupid, as you don't even have to be a fighter, just know the technique/magic trick.

The Vargas are stupid in general, so I can understand that one.hleV wrote:So teleporting the enemy to whatever place so they couldn't go back to the arena (either because it's "another dimension" or just very far away) is allowed. James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.
Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Don't see how that is any different from sealing someone with the Mafuba or making him unable to fight back. The winner is always the one who gains the upper hand, doesn't really matter how, as long as it obeys the rules.
Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
It would be a bit anticlimactic, but maybe the future that Bardock saw was Vegetto losing, unable to escape the void within 30 seconds, is moody through the rest of the tournament and promptly loses his shit when Goku and Vegeta gets to the Finals, whining and attacking everybody because he's "stronger and far superior, and the clear winner of any tournament."
DISREGARD. Vegetto is too badass for me.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse

Read an interesting theory... could this dimension have the opposite effect of the Room of Spirit and Time with more than 30 seconds having passed in the tournament while less has passed in that dimension?

Welp, that was an obvious result.

I'd actually really like that result.

Herms wrote:The fact that the ridiculous power inflation is presented so earnestly makes me just roll my eyes and snicker. Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

I wonder what that would look like from the perspective of the audience.

Does Vegetto typically refer to himself as "we" in the manga? I can't remember.

It's just another one of those translation quirks. The litteral translation of the French text would be "It's enough to simply launch a powerful Kiai."Kamiccolo9 wrote:Does Vegetto typically refer to himself as "we" in the manga? I can't remember.

I think he wasn't referring to himself, just talking in general.Kamiccolo9 wrote:Does Vegetto typically refer to himself as "we" in the manga? I can't remember.
Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
I was thinking that too and we probably only have to wait for the next page to find out if it does or not. I would of thought that they would of shown a couple of other tricks first but having Xii bust that out right away and make Vegetto lose in what he sees as seconds could definitely make him mad. And from what little we see that dimension is just empty and has the opposite color of the rosat. And if it worked at the ~365x rate that the rosat does then Vegetto would of only needed to be gone for ~0.082 seconds. But 29 seconds in evil rosat would be almost 3 hours so it would be funny if he had taken a while to figure it out and ends up popping back into the tourney dimension a couple hours later in the middle of a fight.omegalucas wrote:

You could always go without checking DBM for a few months. It would the same to you as if they had released all the pages you missed on the day you decide to check it again.dbzfan7 wrote:Except on this release schedule it feels so slow.Hellspawn28 wrote:I hope the plot starts moving forward again for once.
