    Dragon Ball: Ultimate Blast
Ah, thank you. My bad, I totally forgot about the handheld games. This illustrates my point even further! I do think if Dragon Ball wants to continue to compete in the game market: they should expand and accommodate other play types/play styles. This multiplayer/co-op emphasis is a good start, hopefully the online component of Battle of Z won't be totally broken or easy to abuse like Raging Blast 1 & 2. *shudders*
Nothing matters (in a cosmic sense.) Have a good time.

Wait is that Super Saiyan God? In one of the scans Goku's face was that of his base similar to SSG but his clothes were Red like Kaioken. As well as his hair being more of Kaioken color then God color. Was this a scan mistake? Or since the scan had mostly Saiyan Saga the scan was kaioken?

It's the God form...

Anyway, am I the only one slightly disappointed by this? I like pretty much everything I've seen, but if they are going to go as far as to change the story up a bit to support the 4 player team battles, why not toss in Tullece with Vegeta, Nappa and Raditz instead of the Saibaiman? =P

Changing the story is GOOD. I'm tired of the past 6 games with story-modes having the same story. Even a slight change of story is very helpful and make it more exciting.

Maybe throw in some other characters that was filler but useful for that filler. Anyone agree?
As long as whomever is developing the game concentrates on making the gameplay fun, the amount of characters for me can be up to 60 characters, that's a fair amount to choose from.

Street Fighter and Tekken games have less and its fanbase don't bitch because they get value for money. Those fans sure are lucky to get quality developers, unlike Dragon Ball which gets kicked around by Spike (360/PS3 DB games).

I want to see how fast dbz wiki provide false info about the game. They still didn't "fix" the Rb2 topic on Dbz wiki. The wiki say "Rb2 story mode is a what-if story similar to Tenkaichi 2 or Budokai 3 story mode"

I'm not complaining about them changing the story, that's one of the bits I'm most excited about. I'm just a little disappointed that while they are making changes, they are missing out on taking advantage some of the opportunities this could present them; such as swapping out that single Saibaiman for a more potent character, like Tullece.

I'm glad they might be slightly changing the story. If you don't understand the story by now you should't buy the game but watch the anime first. I just hope funimation say it's over 8000. Something tells me this is a mix of Zenkai Battle Royal. ZEQ2lite, and a super smash bros in terms of gameplay.

Well fans who wanted a remake of Legends are finally happy that wish is somewhat happening now :P . I hope we get in game transformations since it makes it easier to transform in combat instead having them be their own character.

I will do it without the Tree of might clearly since that would make Turles too strong lol. But nerfing Turles around Nappa level will be fun to fight against. Imagine Tien,Gohan, Krillin, and Piccolo vs Vegeta, Nappa, Raditz, and Tullence. Logic say the Z warrios gets own. But gameplay shows an epic battle

I guess they wanted a game that follows the story of the anime/manga. Tullece never meet Vegeta, Nappa or Raditz and has no connection with those characters.

If Super Saiyan God is available I expect Birus at some point. It's odd that if Birus and Whis end up in this game, this is how we'll find out who their English Voice Actors will be.

I really wish Spike would just stop making Dragon ball Z games.
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

I want a big rooster because otherwise, it feels like an incomplete Dragon Ball game. I want a huge variety of characters to play with, because it's more fun playing like this. In Tenkaichi 3, I can play fights like Humans (Kuririn, Yamcha, Tenshinhan, Yajirobe or Muten Roshi) vs Saiyans (Goku, Gohan, Goten, Trunks), Oozarus (Vegeta, Nappa, Raditz, Tullece, King Vegeta) vs Giants (Hildegarn, Janenba, Slug, Dr. Uiro, Oozaru Baby), Freeza Clan (Freeza, Mecha Freeza, King Cold, Coola, Metal Coola) vs Artificial Human (#16-#20), Goku Team (kid, early, mid, end, GT) vs Vegeta Team (scouter, first form, second form, Majin, SS4), etc. Raging Blast took away all these crazy combinations away, until this day.

In the recent Tekken games, the rooster gets bigger & bigger after each game, which is why no one bitches around. The Tekken Tag games are fan-service games to give the opportunity to the fans to choose any fighter from all the previous games.

We have both since Tenkaichi 2. They can transform/merge in combat, but they also count them as different characters.
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Is this game turn-based? It looks turn-based...

Actually it doesn't so, holy shit, this looks amazing.

I can't wait to be disappointed!

We should do a Kanzenshuu game night after the game comes out. I will likely get it on the 360 since most of my friends play on Xbox Live.

Are you serious.. 200 characters? I once said 200 characters or 400 but it was a joke.

By the way, you can play as Bulma in Budokai 3 if you know how.

I like how the DBZ wiki puts the game under the Budokai Tenkaichi series  . Well Raging Blast 2 had around 60 characters in total from what I can remember. I hope we could find out the character limit soon in a few months from now.
