"DBZ: Battle of Z" (360/PS3/Vita) On-Going Discussion Thread

Smash Bros is popular because all of Nintendo most popular characters in a single game, it's pretty much the video game equivalent to The JL or Avengers. And I use to feel the same way about Street Fighter thinking it was too hard. And really he finds DBZ game controls "too complicated"?

I think he just doesn't want to give BT3 a chance. My bro never really liked DBZ games to begin with, not even Budokai 3. He hates the dragon rush and all the "gimmicks" they try to implement in each game. He's in love with only Smash Bros because in his words "it's like a 4 player battle royal, everyone for themselves" game.

But Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z is going for a battle royal approach with EIGHT players at once.....if this game doesn't get him interested in DBZ games then I don't know what will.

He also said that he has "sources" that have told him that the game will have more what-if characters and stories than any game before. GAH. He also said that he has "sources" that have told him that the game will have more what-if characters and stories than any game before. GAH. These other youtubers always speculate based on the LITTLEST of information, then get mad when it's not so. That's why rumors about certain things always start.

I don't want to discredit PS360HD but I sent him the news about this new DBZ game for 360/PS3/Vita, and also by telling him about Namco Bandai's 100k likes he helped out since he posted a video to make people aware.

But he tends to have his own ways of knowing it.

You could always just stick with reading the news on Kanzenshuu from people who can actually read this crazy moonspeak the information comes from and legitimately have the history with the franchise to do appropriate context-based analysis.

Tomorrow (June 21st) is just the release date of V-Jump, where the majority of this information already came from courtesy of leaked copies being scanned and distributed online. I would not expect anything more than than, other than perhaps a teaser website that itself explains nothing more, and perhaps a formal acknowledgement of the game's title by Namco-Bandai EU.

Going into tomorrow expecting any further reveals would be setting yourself up for disappointment.

I think a short video teaser on the Namco Bandai Europe Facebook page is a possibility. After all, what else would they tease people with? Japanese scans of a Japanese magazine are not the official marketing materials for the Western countries, so they probably won't use any of that.

Might be strange but the part I'm most anxious to know is who's the developer behind this game.

This doesn't look like it's a Spike game but who knows, it looks too good to be made by Spike.

And it's on Vita!?! Really!? It probably would have been much easier to put it on Wii U than on the Vita. Not to mention that I think it would sell better on Wii U than on the Vita.

PS3 games are easy to port to Vita. A Wii U port would probably cost more and take more time. But, yeah, everybody have the right to be disappointed.

Wii U isn't selling well. It wouldn't be profitable to release it for a console that doesn't sell shit.

In 2014 Wii U could perhaps make a huge jump as it'll have Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart 8, Super Mario 3D World and others available.

Wii U is selling better than the Vita. And with the releases of Pikmin 3, Legend of Zelda Wind Waker HD, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, and Super Mario 3D World this year, I think the sales of the Wii U will pick up.

Yeah that'll be interesting to see, especially if both team mates are different human players. If its two human players Maybe they'll have it where control of Gogeta,Vegetto or Gotenks rotates between the two or whom ever has the most health controls the fusion.

Namco Bandai said they'd announce something about this new game, so hopefully it's more than what's already out.
