For the people wondering if the game will end by Freeza's arc or Cell's arc, watch the Japanese trailer it gives a hint that there's more coming.

Also, with Super Saiyan God Goku they'll very likely include the entire DBZ Story + BoG story, maybe all of the films Z stories and specials.

Yes, as we've learned from Raging Blast 1, whatever isn't shown in the first reveal trailer isn't in the final game, right? I remember everyone freaking out the first few weeks that Raging Blast was revealed, because it didn't show in-game transformations or characters past the Cell arc. Do you really think they'd only extend to the Freeza/Cell arc and include Super Saiyan God Goku? Wow, some of you are gullible and paranoid. Iiiincredible.

And who's to say all of what we've seen was Story Mode? Maybe they are just sequences that are shown in VS. mode with those special characters... or maybe they're what-if's.

I have to state once more than from looking at the size of these battle fields and the sheer scope of the gameplay I am actually really excited.

Also, I wonder if they're modifying Tenkaichi's models (hence a near-exact T3 Freeza Solider)

This. This, so much.

Wasn't there a really weird match-up in a RB2 trailer (or maybe a Tag Vs trailer, ironically) that meant nothing? (or a stage that didn't match?)

The trailer give me a final judgment and it looks pretty awesome. This game is the closet thing that we are getting to a remake of DBZ Legends. I think we are likely going to get more characters in the near future and I think a 60 character selection would be fine as long if the gameplay is fun. I think the game looks like will be a lot of fun online.

It does remind of of Spike's models, especially that shot of Piccolo getting double teamed. I guess the models were used as a base.

Severely underwhelmed. But that's nothing new with these games.

An 8 player DBZ game is underwhelming?

Eh. In theory it's a promising idea, but that looked clunky, stiff and slow as fuck. And the characters still just punch the air, not the opponents.

That's the thing, some of them look different but I was wondering whether Spike would have to be paid.

Also, if they can use Spike models then due to the two-year time-frame I would expect at least a merging of Tenkaichi 3's and Raging Blast 2's rosters. Take out unnecessary characters but add Android 14 and 15, Doore, Neiz, etc... I don't think they are key but a good roster gives me (at least) more replay in a game because I like to use fantasy scenarios, team-ups, and so forth and I know that is rather sad but I like doing it.

I wonder how the combat will work though, if it's taking cues from Zenkai and thus Gundam VS it could be very, very complex. I would welcome that though!

Slow? I suggest you watch the trailer again. You don't know what clunky means. Go watch the Zenkai Battle Royal gameplay  .

Everyone is on that "Fuck new DBZ games" flow since Ultimate Tenkaichi...or even earlier than that. Now no one is impressed. Whatever. :problem:

Not that it's needed, but since I saw a few people questioning, the FBook page just confirmed a North/Latin American release.

It certainly looks promising. Hope there's offline multiplayer.

I think they have an interesting opportunity with movie villains here, working off the 4-player teams. For instance:

Garlic Jr.
Ginger
Nikki
Sansho

Tullece
Amondo
Daizu
Cacao

Dr. Uiro
Misokatsun
Kishime
Ebifurya

Lord Slug
Angira
Dorodabo
Zeeun

Coola
Sauzer
Dore
Neizu

etc. It could be really cool for Story Mode... it would really flesh the roster out. I honestly wouldn't be at all surprised if they took this route, because as I said earlier, this format basically screams for teams of characters. It would be odd to just have Coola without his minions in a game based around 4v4, don'cha think? I mean, they could do it, but it would be awkward and he would seem lonely. Also, at the beginning of the trailer, I noticed Goku flying around an area by himself... I wonder if the Story Mode has exploration? :o

RB was only a spiritual successor of Tenkaichi and UT was name only. Tenkaichi had a giant rosters with giant characters and was a game I felt where a noob with some time had a decent chance against a pro.

I want a Ten 3 or a Ten 4 that I can play on my TV with some friends with a lot of characters and big stages.

I was talking about the hit animations. Maybe that's a slow motion effect but who knows. They don't look fluid, that's what I meant with clunky.

The one thing I like are the afterimage effects. Look at 0:35 what Kuririn does after he kicks Nappa away. Looks cool how he vanishes.
