No. There are animal/human hybrids in the Dragonball Trilogy.Hellspawn28 wrote:The action scenes in Man of Steel was epic, but I'm not sure if Hollywood would want to take a risk on making a 200 million DBZ live action movie. I do like how DBE took place on a fictional earth instead the world that we live in. Makes me wonder if a Dragon Ball movie taken place in the setting that we live in could work?

They could easily to remove the animal looking people for a movie. I guess that's why they didn't have any in DBE since they didn't want them to feel so out of place.

Never say never, there have been many things that people thought would never come to light but they did anyway. And keep in mind that DB is not even 30 years old yet, Batman and Superman were released in the 30's and 40's and they didn't get the films the fans wanted until decades later. And then there's the Nolan Batman films, people thought they wouldn't happen after Batman and Robin.hulkty wrote:There will never be a good live action Dragonball/Z/GT/Whatever related blockbuster movie ever. You guys should stop getting your hopes up all the time. You're just going to make yourself more disappointed.
Just watch and re-watch the anime over and over, but that's all the good stuff you'll get.
Someone had to say it...

I've said this time and time again.
Hollywood needs to stay the hell away from Dragon Ball. The only thing Hollywood needs to do is to fund the fucking thing and leave it to Asian film makers to do the rest. Of course, they would also need some Hong Kong stunt crews to help. Guys like Tony Ching Siu-Tung (who's done such films like "A Chinese Ghost Story", Zhang Yimou's "Hero", Japanese film adaptation of Osamu Tezuka's "Dororo" and many others) would be perfect for designing the fights in a live action Dragon Ball film.

The reason why movies and shows based on Japanese franchises like DBE, Ultraman Powered (Ultraman: The Ultimate Hero), Godzilla (1998) and Masked Rider sucked because they didn't had enough respect to them. You need to find someone in Hollywood that is a good director and loves Dragon Ball. Sadly the chances are slim to none.
