What Happened to This Member?

When I went through a recent thread, all I see a certain user's posts was "deleted". So I attempted to click on his avatar, and it took me to a page where it says "The requested user does not exist". So does that mean this user was no longer in this community? Thanks!

We can't answer your question without knowing who you're talking about.

We don't delete posts. If someone's posts are gone, they deleted them on their own.

I would've mentioned the user earlier but I was under the impression that doing so would be out of line.

The succinct and honest answer is that he apparently over-reacted to a small temporary ban. When we realized what he was doing, his account was "deactivated" (which isn't quite the same as actually being deleted) to put a stop to it, but not soon enough.

It's a shame, too, as he contributed quite a lot. Even if he decided not to post here any more, going so far as to delete so much of his past content hurt quite a bit.
