Is anyone else really, really impressed with the maps and how large they seem thusfar? In some screenshots it looks amazing because the rock formations actually LOOK like rock formations and not 18' by 7' pre-placed rocks.

I really like it.

Right now I'm guessing that they will be separate characters if they do make it in the game.

I think it'll be like DBZ sagas. Each player get to play as let's say Gogeta for a good minute or two. For Potara.......they alternate till the battle if over(each player gets 1 minute to fight). To be honest if Goku does a Genki Dami then I want the other players to donate energy.

If they just added the characters from T3 ad RB3 that would be near 200 characters and a near perfect roster so while it does sound wired when you count transformations there is a lot of characters in DBZ.

If they do make a character creator I do hope it's Treevax's version.

The same way you will be able to play as two of the same characters I am sure. If you are Goku for instance, another vegeta will probably fly into the battlefield and fuse with you.

A story mode gives me something to do. Galaxy Mode in RB2 was boring and most of the missions where the same. I hope Galaxy Mode never comes back ever again.

They could start with Garlic Jr. Or his henchmen that Piccolo fight at the beginning of Movie 1. That'd be a nice change, IMO.
The Legacy of Goku games did a pretty good job of tying some of the movies into the story, IIRC, If this game did that, it would add enough to the story to make it more interesting.

I personally say: they should just go fucking crazy-town with the single-player/story mode. Make random shit up, have characters appear at points where they normally wouldn't, have fights that didn't happen in the series proper, what-ifs, etc. If Macross/Gundam/Super Robot Wars games can mix up various storylines and make up their own plots, there's no reason why Battle of Z can't...

After the deluge of games that have tried to capture the story of DBZ in its entirety and have done mediocre-at-best jobs (even Budokai 1) on, let's just go nuts at this point. That's why I'm curious about DragonBall Heroes: that franchise is stirring up the pot like crazy.

Just one question.....will I be able to play battle of z with only 1 human play and the rest is cpu controlled (do I have to have another controller with me)????????????????????????

A lot of Tenkaichi 3 characters were either the same ones or useless that no one would play, so that's far from perfect. 60-70 characters is a balanced amount and people have given examples of it.

RB3? Doesn't count. It doesn't exist.

What does RB3 not existing have to do with anything, I just talking about using his ideas for a created character mode.

Also I like a lot of people try to do fan fics with my DBZ games so a huge roster helps with that is all.

He meant that you mentioned combining RB3's characters with T3's (you probably meant RB2's).

I'd assume you can play the game by yourself with all CPU players, and even if you only have one controller there is online co-op support; meaning you can play with friends from PSN and Live.

It even says on the game's official description that the amount of players is 1 - 8. Seriously, I don't know why people are still confused about that issue.
