I really like it.
The maps doesn't seem much bigger than Raging Blast 2..Or there is something that I missed? :S

The maps appear to be bigger. It's difficult to say how wide the actual usable space is though. I would suppose it'd be reasonable to expect them to be a bit bigger because the game will feature up to 8 characters on one map.

For example http://www.kanzenshuu.com/wp-content/up ... OZ_041.jpg map looks rather wide. I wonder where the actual "walls" are though.

The scale on the map is definitely bigger, and I wouldn't be surprised if they made the character models a tad smaller to better fit the environment as well. As the locals they are showing off so far lend themselves to the idea I had a while back were you make the maps repeating(exit left-enter right), I hope they do something to this effect. One of the big game breakers for me in Tenkaichi and Raging Blast was the walls; somehow almost every fight I'd end up against them.
...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?

^ People have posted some really disgusting comments on Namco Bandai's Dragon Ball page and of all things they punished you? That seems really off.

I've been rewatching the trailer for a couple times and each time it gets even better, I'm really impatient to play this specific DBZ game I haven't been this excited for a new DBZ game since Burst Limit.

And the graphics, to be fair, they're not completely terrible they're actually good looking but obviously inferior to BL/RB/UB, it's strange because this being probably the last DBZ game for the 360/PS3 it should put the graphics to the limit which doesn't look like they're doing.

Still, this game's Freeza doesn't look right. :?

This game has walls as well. Except they're ripples in space now.

Will this game be good? We had 2 releases that sucked. I still hope we get to create characters (with more races and customization options), but ditch the hero mode entirely as that was awful and I don't want to see another story like that again. I don't want create a character if it will take time away from the gameplay development.

They already showed the future buyers what the gameplay (Zenkai Battle Royale-type) is like through the Trailer #1, if that didn't sold you then I don't know what you were expecting.. More rehash of Raging Blast? Oh god.

Anyway, the Sound Team of this game is Ryuji Nishida & Tomoya Sato, just found one song arranged by Nishida, it's not much but it's something: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mE32u2zW0TI

I'd like to hear more from these composers although I do like the Trailer Song, so I'm guessing I'll enjoy the game's soundtrack regardless.

I didn't find raging blast bad at all. I found it as similar to the Tenkaichi series with combos easier to pull off. I never found the tenkaichi series or raging blast that good. Every character I played as always felt the same. Super DBZ had the best diversity.

I've given up on DB games after Ultimate Tenkaichi. That game really sucked! I hope this one's better, but why don't they just give us what we want?! All characters, just like in Tenkaichi Budokai 3, that one was perfect.
What the Helheim?!

RB2 was pretty good in terms of gameplay, which is what I want from games; great fun gameplay but to be honest, Tenkaichi/RB games have been done to death and they needed to give room to new gameplay + new developers that's what Battle of Z is.

I really hope Namco Bandai releases a playable demo of Battle of Z on XBL/PSN so everyone can play it while it's still unavailable to purchase.

I stopped playing because I grew bored of the repetition. The only semi recent DB game I really recall enjoying was the first Kai-branded one on the ds. The one that went from the 23rd tournament to the end of the saiyajin arc.

I feel I would've really enjoyed Ultimate Butoden too ( the novelty of adding silly accessories to characters ) but that never got a worldwide release.
On hiatus.

So you want all flash, no substance? The Sparking games are fun, but I always find them too simple compare to the Budokai games. I want a game that has a good gameplay for once. The RB games were just a water down version of the Sparking games and I was getting tired of the gameplay when RB2 was coming out.

I agree that the T/RB style has been done to death. I would like a game like the budokai series, but add some more combos and new styles.

I really hope we get a demo so I can see for myself if i'll like the gameplay. It seems like Tenkaichi tag team, but expanded upon. I hope the fighting system is improved.

I loved the music when the Great Ape Vegeta shows up..

Anyway, I'm wondering how it will be the Ultimate Attacks..We can forget the cutscenes that Spike used to do...Father-Son Kamehameha in Ultimate Blast is so good. But now this game is 4 vs 4, of course they can't put cutscenes because it breaks the immersion.

I'm actually expecting 1 more game for 360/PS3 next year in 2014. It would be too soon to start developing for PS4/Xbox One because the install base will not be that big by this time next year. Burst Limit didn't come out until 2 years after PS3 came out and 3 years after 360 came out!

The earliest I'm expecting a "next gen" DBZ game is 2015; that would be my guess.

Considering the next generation is coming, this has to be the last chance fro DBZ to be released on current gen. I'm sure that the PS4/XBOne coming out means Namco Bandai has something in development for the future. And considering how powerful these systems seem to be, a game on those systems have to be TOP NOTCH.

One guy that I'd love to be added in a game...General Rildo!

Yeah that be cool.....just one problem: that's most likely never going to happen -_-

Seriously if we can't even get the prime GT characters (SSJ4 Goku, Baby Vegeta, etc.) in any of the recent DBZ games, the chances of adding the other lesser GT characters are slim to none.

I've been advocating Ledgic to be in a DBZ game since BT3, I mean who wouldn't want to play as him? He's a badass!

^ We've gotten almost all the GT characters up until Baby arc in DBH, and Super #17 arc is coming.
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.
