To follow up that post right above me, let me be the one to raise my hand in excitement over the prospect of them messing around with the story and tossing whatever the heck they want to into it.

I have zero interest in playing the exact same story, Raditz to Buu, as-is from the manga/anime for the billionth year in the row.

Raditz along with Vegeta and Nappa? Awesome. Multi-colored Freeza soldiers? Awesome. Hell, bring some multi-colored Freeza soldiers along with Raditz to the Vegeta fight. That's even better.

Raditz being alive when Vegeta and Nappa arrive? (How does Goku get strong enough to fight them?)
Piccolo being alive in the fight with Oozaru Vegeta? (Piccolo is killed by Nappa before this fight even f***ing happens...)
Piccolo AND Krillin still alive for the SSj1 Goku and 100% Final Form Freeza fight? (Piccolo and Krillin die to make him go SSj in the first place! WTF!?)

Lets see how many more WTF moments we get before the release LOL

Graphics bad enough to be back in PS2 era with f***ing PS4 right around the corner, horrid story, following the 2 worst games in DBZ history, Multi colored Freeza Soldiers for no f***ing reason...yep. Odds are WAY in favor of this game sucking worse than the galaxy of this sucks camel dick. (or something else pretty bad lol)

They got SSjGod, big whoop. Kinect got f***ing SSj Bardock and it was the worst game of all time! (Yes, worst than E.T. the video game, no joke.) Disgrace to the second best what-if character in history.

Better get a TONxTON of amazing news along with a demo, or its already confirmed...

Who cares? They're doing something different; I'm all for it. Everyone knows how the story goes in the manga, so why not do something different for once?

The graphics seen in HD aren't actually anywhere bad, it's just that Freeza's just the one that looks awkward, but that's it.

Dragon Ball Z For Kinect is actually a pretty good game but too short. I'm guessing many people who complain about this specific game never actually played it and just use it as an excuse to call it bad.

Anyway, the fans here are picking on stuff that could be entirely alternate and not the main, because remember this game is going for an exciting battle of 8 players with more variety than the normal-ish stuff.

I'm in the same boat as you, Mike. And personally, if strict adherence to the original story is what's causing some of these games to suffer, then throw the damn story out! Gameplay & fighting mechanics should be the key factor in a fighting game.

If altering the story or creating new scenarios allows the gameplay style to be utilized well and realize it's full potential, then more power to the Battle of Z developers. I'm hoping for some new stories with newer DBZ games personally, even if they suck. At least it'll be somewhat different.

Remember the early screenshots for Ultimate Tenkaichi of Goku vs. Vegeta had him in his Buu arc Gi, and then months later the actual game included that same fight but with his correct outfit?

I wouldn't say nobody cares about GT, personally, I hope they throw in as many GT characters as they can.
and why not both? I want to play as Daimao's little pterodactyl henchman like I did in Advance Adventure just as much as I want to play as Haze Shenron.

My thoughts exactly. I realized this recently when I was playing Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3. The game has a very detailed story mode, with lots of cutscenes... but since I've read the manga AND watched the anime once, it was so fucking boring that I ended up skipping the cutscenes. Not, with Dragon Ball Z, I've read, seen, and played the same story more than once... so... yeah.

...I was about to say, yeah, they did, but...now that I think about it, all I remember is the dancing thing, which is 'kind' of a technique, I guess...but actually fighting? Hmm...

...Then again, Tapion never used his sword or threw so much as a punch and he made it into a game, as did Tarble. So anything's possible, I suppose.

Right. Let's tackle this post, shall we?

For a start, story mode. Can anyone really want the same damn story again and again? We're playing a game that prides itself on huge combat potential with these 8 player battles and you don't want them to change the story?

Secondly, we don't know if this actually is the story mode. I understand your assumption but we've seen some things to the contrary - first, Nappa is seen (in a screenshot posted today) on his own and looking like he will kick some ass which is supported by some scenes in the trailer. Alternately we have Raditz, Nappa, Vegeta and Saibamen fighting Goku, if that is story then where is Raditz when Nappa
fights the Z warriors?

I have bought Dragonball Z games since Ultimate Battle 22. I can bloody do with a change in the story!

The graphics are 'PS2'? People keep shitting on the graphics but they really don't even look bad. Is there something wrong with this?:

Plus I would rather have solid gameplay than Burst Limit/Raging Blast graphics. Burst Limit was good but had zero replay value, even less than Spike's games.

Multi-coloured Freeza soldiers = enough to hate the entire game. In a game where there is 8 vs 8 and in these snippets we have seen they are fighting with Guldo I would actually like to see a way of distinguishing fodder characters. At least you're not fighting 5 of the same-looking character, it's not like it is a hard job to colour a bloody character and they've wasted time doing a simple pallet swap that would be used to make [insert background henchman from Move #5]

So, according to this user, Kanzenshuu, you can not brag about a new character. They're showing off a new character, why does that piss you off so much? Also, this is different to Kinect and if you were trying to draw comparisons because they both 'had a new character' then you've gone a bit soft in the head.
