Is that the look you're referring to?

As far as ep 184 goes, yeah there's a lot of great things in that ep, but going back and comparing it to 187, it's a much better episode. I loved in 185 when Gohan just completely annhiliates the Cell Jrs. in one hit, but I still think 187 has a better overall storyline and plot development. Incredible action sequences, great animation, and the ep really doesn't mess around or waste time.

Well, I can't specify episode numbers because I'm too lazy to look... and they're actually a few episodes, I think...

I love the ones featuring the elder kai powering up Gohan. I couldn't stop laughing. From the dancing around him in circles, to the revelation that Gohan was finished powering up without the elder kai mentioning it to him. Great comedy...

I remember the last time this thread existed...

...I guess I'll post what I posted last time.

Since the UUE DVD for this has yet to be released, I have no seen the original version of this episode, HOWEVER...

The Ocean Dub version of "Goku vs. Vegeta - A Saiyan Duel" was pretty much the episode the sealed the deal and made me love Dragonball / Z forever. Best. Episode. Ever.

Indeed, even though I started seriously watching DBZ during the Jinonzingen/Cell Arc. Going back & watching that episode made more intrigued to the series & I could argue that still to this date that this one of the best fights I've ever seen . I can't wait to watch it in Japanese.

I've never seen the Buu saga in Japanese so I can't really comment on any of those episodes, but out of what I have seen, my favorite has to be the episode with #16's speech to Gohan and Gohan transforming into SSJ2. Yes, I know it's been said before here, but that doesn't make it not my favorite.

When I first saw it a long time ago, dubbed, I didn't think much of it at all. But when I got the DVD of it and watched in Japanese, even though I pretty much knew what was going to happen, I was in awe. The whole thing was so emotional; you could just feel Gohan's pain, sadness, anger, and desperation yourself. And then when he finally cut loose and the song started playing... Wow. I was just too shocked for words. In my mind, that scene was absolutely perfect.
