Genki is for the tag team attacks. The health and ki is the best health-ki bar since the Budokai Series.SSuperVegito wrote:i just realised that this is an official photo of Battle of Z and not taken from another game ex,zenkai royale or tenkaichi tag team...
from the photo it shows the target system is like tenkaichi tag team and zenkai battle royale....and i also like the health and ki one it's pretty simple but kinda bad i guess? as well the gameplay seems very close to zenkai (go see a video of zenkai and u will notice the goku attack one) as well as the enemies names/health same as zenkai so i guess it have a lot of similarities...
also the genki at the top? does that mean u have to beat him up to make spirit bomb? also which confirmed it's a spirit bomb look at the icon below 06 it looks like he's gathering energy....

One thing I'm worried about is. How long will it take to damage your foe? These life bars look short. So the damage amount is less or you have to equip stuff to make your life longer?mysticboy wrote:I like RB's life gauges better.

I feel like the HUD will more than likely change by the games release. Of course, I could be wrong...but it wouldn't be the first time the HUD was changed from the original footage.

What would be cool is if we can take the control of the different characters in the team, like in soccer games and other team sport video games.

You know the way you guys are posting about various different teams could bring an interesting element to the gameplay...
It is in his character to be rude and a bit crass. He's a hick, with no formal education. That is Son Goku. That is who he is.
Superman in an orange Gi was the bastard son of FUNimation. Its not The real character, it is as false as Chatku.

This game needs a lot of characters, more than BT3.
Otherwise, we'll complete the game in about 12 matches:
- Vs. Raditz, Nappa, Vegeta, Saibaman
- Vs. Great Ape Vegeta & Saibamen (apparantly)
- Vs. Great Ape Gohan
- Vs. Cui, Dodoria, Zarbon
- Vs. The Ginyu Force
- Vs. Frieza
- Vs. #19 & #20
- Vs. #18 & #17 on the Mountain Road
- Vs. #17 & Cell on the Islands
- Vs. Cell in the Cell Games
- Vs. Dabura and Babidi's other men
- Vs. The Buus

The bar could work just like it did on the Budokai & Tenkaichi games, so I wouldn't worry about that.TheGmGoken wrote:One thing I'm worried about is. How long will it take to damage your foe? Japan Expo is finally coming up (4 July 2013 to 7 July 2013) so we'll more than likely get a lot of info we want. I personally just want a release date and know if they'll publish a playable demo on XBL/PSN.

Honestly I hope it is but it most likely won't be, we'll probably get one more game for 2014 then they'll jump ship to the next gen consoles.supersaiyan DbZ fan wrote:Hope this isn't the last 360 / ps3 Dragon Ball Z game
On another note, I can't believe I'm saying "Next Gen" and not referring to PS3/360 lol.
It's not too late. One day, it will be.

We might see "Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z 2" (kinda reminds me of Dragon Ball Z 2 aka Budokai 2) on the current-gen (2014), and then lastly they'll move to the next-gen.supersaiyan DbZ fan wrote:Hope this isn't the last 360 / ps3 Dragon Ball Z game
Xbox 360 is trying to be the PS2 (large catalogue of games) of this gen and it's heading that way. Plus, I won't jump to PS4 right away more so when the PS4 Slim arrives so by that time there'll be plenty of games for the console. I'm avoiding Xbone.

i don't think it would be in next gen.....well i hope it stays for current for 2 more games....
also Namco Bandai Contract ends in 2015 since they got the rights in 2010 in a five-years term contract
so 2 more dbz games to go......
hopefully they would see that this company is doing real bad and move it to a better company....

Is English your first language?
Namco-Bandai certainly brought the Dragon Ball franchise back in-house for 2010, but that was only internationally. It's been them (originally Bandai, pre-merger) since the earliest days of Dragon Ball video games in the 1980s in Japan, and that likely isn't changing any time soon.
I don't remember any news like this. Perhaps you're confusing it with FUNimation announcing a five-year license extension back in 2009?SSuperVegito wrote:also Namco Bandai Contract ends in 2015 since they got the rights in 2010 in a five-years term contract

Namco Bandai Games America today announced that it has obtained the
exclusive North American rights to publish Dragon Ball games on all major consoles and handhelds, starting in January 2010. The deal--struck with rights-holders Toei Animation and FUNimation--will run for a five-year term.

All of my PS2-era games are labelled as both Bandai and Atari. I think that was just Europe though.VegettoEX wrote:Is English your first language?

So I noticed normal and ssj Goku are huge so even though SSJG Goku looks normal he is still thinner.
