I guess for mine, I've just embarked on the Super Saiyan God craze. I find this form most refreshing.
Most good Super Saiyan God pictures were already used by other members, so I chose to have my own spin on it by taking a drawing from Toriyama (last Kanzenban cover) and recoloring it.
It's Super Saiyan God applied to a Toriyama artwork, so it's almost like an exclusive Toriyama artwork of Super Saiyan God somehow. Just partly fake.

I need a bit of help on this. I have found a pic I want, but it was too big so I edited it to make it fit, only to realise you need to put a URL link to upload your avatar. Are there any other ways to do it or any way to get the resized pic on an internet page? Am I being completely dumb here and missing something?

Any help would be appreciated!

Make a Photobucket (or any other image hosting website) account and upload your picture there. You should be able to retrieve a url of that specific image.
Hope this helps!

I've been switching over to DropBox for all my image-hosting needs lately, since Photobucket decided to crapify things and stop making direct links actually, y'know, directly to the image. Kind of the last straw on an already decent pile of frustrations. Linking from DropBox requires an extra step or two
(and I have to make my own thumbnails for things), but so far it's been worth it for the sake of not having my images screwed with or resized or being redirected to a gallery-esque page when I just want to link to a standalone image.
Anyway, my new avatar is made from Toriyama artwork of Goku I snatched from the
"World of Dragon Ball" exhibition thread. I got it framed up pretty well, and the blend of colors is pretty nice. I think this one'll be a keeper for a while.

Yeah, been rather disappointed with how things have turned out with Photobucket. I've been using PostImage for my needs so far, but I may have to check out this DropBox thing.
Anyway, I found this great fanart of kid Goku, Kuririn, and Roshi, dressed up as Luffy, Usopp, and Chopper respectively, and instantly thought that 'Krillsopp' would be an amazing avatar. And look, it totally is. Yeah, think I'll stick with this one for a little while. So the trend of Kuririn avatars continues.

Because I wanted a new ssjg Goku avi, and new BOG scans/artwork are pretty much done outside DBH cards until BOG's dvd/blu-ray arrive and loads of screen-caps appear. (That will be a fun day.)
Also his blue tracksuit from BOG.
This one might not last too long though; I've got 6 more pages left from the project this is from and may yet find another one I like more for an avatar.
EDIT:
Well that lasted a week. >_>
Current ssjg avi's from VJump's "next issue preview" page. :3
On hiatus.

Yeah. I changed my avatar again. I'll make it a few months with just one eventually, I swear.
At any rate, this time I went with a big, cheesy grinning Senbei Norimaki from Dr. Slump, due to my over-the-top ecstatic happiness at Dr. Slump FINALLY being licensed! Okay, so it's just the first five movies for now, but hey, that's a great start.

Where did you hear that?!
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

This is awesome! I hope they will also do the rest of the movies, along with the 2 anime series!

I've finally gotten round to getting my first avatar, it's only taken 2 and a half months! Thank you to Kaboom for helping me sort out the problems to get it. It's from the Movie 8 end credits - pretty cool looking piece of artwork of Piccolo.

Started reading/watching Rurouni Kenshin again. It's my favorite manga/anime, and Shishio's my favorite villian, so I decided to set aside my Piccolo avatars for a little while.

I whipped up a small toon of myself in Saiyaman garb. Consider this one a prototype on a test run.

My roleplay on Byond. I used a character name Goken training his Son Goken Jr(JR for short) in the ROSAT. You talk about child abuse. And then I just search it and this came up ^_^

I met Masako Nozawa and we took a picture together
