Maybe. For all we know, he could be toying with Gohan the whole time. He calls him trash later on and is fully confident in taking him out.
Doubt it, Otherwise his sword wouldn't be overpowered. Power wise there where equaled. skills wise there wrent
There wasn't lava in the battlefield, was there?
Yes there was
That is not form Dazienshuu i fought when you mean daizenshuu like the book. They even state that Movie 6 happened in the 10 day wait.

No, that's from the Daizenshuu. There was no Lava where he and Dabura fought

.

He could be just toying though.Dabura calls him trash. If they were equals, then I don't think he would call him that.
There wasn't lava, just water.
That IS the Daizenshuu. If I had a scan from the guidebook, it would most likely, if not absolutely, be in Japanese and I can't understand Japanese of course.
Yes, they say M6 happens in the 10 day wait.Nothing besides Dende even implies that though. But that's for another time.

Should't this be in the versus thread

. Welp does't matter I'll give my cup of tea. SSJ2 Kid Gohan would destroy Broly. As Gohan IMO is much more fierce, scary, and more heartless than Broly. If Gohan(Teen) can stun Broly in Movie 10 while he's weaker. Then Kid Gohan should have some issues with Broly but nothing he could't beat.

But like I've said again and again, Gohan refers to having power-up from M8 to M10. Between those 2 movies, Cell Games happened, which is when he powered-up (I'm not referring to SS2). It went like that:
->
weaker than Goku --> M8 Gohan --->
after training, he surpassed Goku --> Cell Games Gohan --->
didn't do any significant training for 7 years --> M10 Gohan

There is no way in hell that Dabra is on the same level with M10 Broli.
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

So there's nothing indicating that he stopped training then. Yeah, I find it more plausible that M10 depicts a Gohan that had kept up with his training and even with rage was still no match for Broly, who was stated to have powered-up since the last time as well. It works to hype up Broly's strength even more, which I'm sure was their intent.

Daizenshuu 6 says it's not an alternate timeline.
Cardle, that's just Toei warm up phase.Goku does it in M6.

They do it in every movie. Fight a villain near evenly in base, power up to SSJ expecting to win, then does no better.

i am talking about the statement not the fight, and i don't know what timeline has to do with this anyways. Because Gohan training or not is not going to change the fact that goku is coming back to earth

Yes I know.Movie 7 and 13 is the worst offender of that trope in my opinion.
EDIT:That is true, but Goku also did that in M6, yet he very well knew, that it took him SSJ to beat Cooler.
The timeline means Gohan is about the same strength as in/before the Budokai.

That makes no sense what so ever, because its before budokai then movie 10 gohan is same power as manga gohan. Really that makes no sense. Timeline is not going to change his power. Because goku is still going to come back to earth and compete in the budokai regardless if gohan is stronger or weaker

That's because M10 Gohan is most likely the Pre-Budokai/Budokai Gohan. Why wouldn't it make sense?
The guidebook doesn't say it's in an alternate timeline.

Why is there any proof that he is pre budokai gohan because last time i checked there nothing, and why would it need to be an alternate timeline if Gohan is stronger. Goku is still going to come to earth regardless
hypocrite much

Daizenshuu 6:
We can infer from Videl's hairstyle and the fact that Goku is dead that this is right before the 25th Tenkaichi Budoukai.
Gohan never trained in the main timeline, so it would be an alternate timeline.

And why would it need to be an alternative timeline, what the hell is going to happen before budokai for it to change
Serious i am rolling my eyes and shaking my head to how low someone would go to have broly weak

It doesn't, since the book also fits Movie 8 within the timeline and yet Gohan's strength is portrayed inferior to Goku's in the film itself. They may make reference to specific events in the original story, but they're not shown to follow every detail to a tee especially when it comes to power. There is nothing in the book indicating that Gohan didn't train.

That's where the ''resting SSJ and Gohan being weakest, because he wasn't shown in the anime to be as strong'' theory comes in.
Besides, it would just make M10 Gohan considerably stronger than M8 Gohan, even nerfing M10 Gohan further, than I think of him.
