I know this is pretty soon after my previous post but I thought I might show another WIP of the same animation.
I've got a ton of work to do so I'll probably won't be finishing this tonight. Heck, I'm not even sure if I'll color it when I'm done. Anyway, let me know what you guys think, I'm still trying to get the hang of this animating business.

Looks great so far Scarz! What kind of programs do you use to make these animations anyway? I've got some old program I got at Wal-mart called AnimeStudio 6 or something like that, but I've never even bothered messing with it yet because everything seems so...complicated.
Also, if Chi Chi is the Chun Li expy, I declare Videl (particularly DBM Videl with that braided ponytail) to be Cammy. Yes...I like the sound of this.

Either in flash, which I love to use a lot, or Scarz does it in Photoshop! It looks like Photoshop to me but who knows, it could be pencil or even Toon Boom, or Toonz (or even Anime Studios ).
If anyone is doing animation, I would recommend Toonz, Flash and Photoshop if you have the money!
My favourite art style (and animation) outside Toriyama who worked on Dragon Ball: Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru, Masaki Satō, Minoru Maeda, Takeo Ide, Hisashi Eguchi, Katsumi Aoshima, Tomekichi Takeuchi, Masahiro Shimanuki, Kazuya Hisada

Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!
Spoiler:
Doctor. wrote:I've explained before, I'll just paraphrase myself.
Power levels establish tension and drama. People who care about them (well, people who care about them in a narrative) don't care about the big numbers or the fancy explosions. If you have character A who's so much above character B, who's the main character, you're gonna be left wondering how in the hell character B, the character we're supposed to care and root for, is going to escape the situation or overcome the odds. It makes us emotionally invested.
If character B doesn't escape the situation in a believable way that's consistent with previous events, then that emotional investment is gone. It was pointless tension, pointless drama made just to suck in the viewer. It has no critical value whatsoever. The audience is left believing that the author can just create whatever scenarios he wants and what happens to the characters is decided by whatever the author wants to happen, regardless of the events that happened in the story. Which, in fairness, is what happens, but the audience wants to be fooled. The audience wants to know that the world they're following has rules. That the world they're invested in isn't going to bend to external factors that are irrelevant to them.
An author can do whatever he wants with the characters, that's not false. But the author should also have the responsibility to make sure it fits in cohesively with the other events in the narrative he has created.

I switch back and forth between Photoshop and Flash. The Chichi animation is made entirely in Flash CS6. I've never used AnimeStudio before although I have heard of it. As for Toon Boom, I didn't really care for it but to be fair I haven't used the program long enough to create an animated loop. I rarely animate with pencil, it takes way too long scanning in all the pages.
Great work Scarz, you're really improving. I suggest taking a look at Shithead Action for some future inspiration. And doing something about Chichi's chichis.

Wow, this is very inspiring! Thanks! This really makes me want to practice animating action packed scenes, when I find the time of course. And speaking of Chichi's chi chis, studying "boob physics" is on my "To Animate" list.

Boob physics, heh. On the one hand, that sounds hilarious, but at the same time, I know it's legit. Which reminds me that somebody was no doubt paid to keep the physics proper on a certain piece of anatomy in Watchmen...that must be fun to have on your Hollywood CG resume.

BahiJD made that a few years ago when he first started animating. Now he's one of the few foreigners working in Japanese animation.
