I agree that Nozawa is an incredible talent but must we stoop to calling FUNi's actors "dumb"?

All the filler during fights of the Nappa and Vegeta fight that go to Kame House. Like, it's infuriating. Especially with post-DB Chi-Chi there. Like, Chi-Chi was awesome during DB. In DBZ, Chi-Chi she's the worst. It's always about Gohan and it's annoying. The time when Goku shows up to fight Nappa is the worst because it cuts right to Kame House when Goku is walking up to Nappa before he powers up. Or during the beam struggle with Goku and Vegeta. That filler is always the worst.

I mean, you're pretty open about looking at cartoon porn. Why would you do that? It's fiction. The proportions of these women are not possible to reach in reality.

Agreed, I thought Sean did an alright job as Goku.

*Sigh* Have you watched enough of it to actually make a judgment? It seems like most people who have a huge problem with Nozawa haven't given the Japanese version a fair go. I started off neutral, and I came to prefer it. Give it some time, you may do the same.

"There is one thing you forget. I'm my father SON!"

To be fair, that is sort of a common saying. However, I don't see why Bojack would have ANY concept of who Goku is or why that statement should mean anything to him.

In the dub, at least, he already knows vaguely who Goku is going in.

You want something really (humorously) strange about the Funi dub of that movie; Bojack's first couple of lines are in a deep, I'd almost call it African-sounding voice like two octaves below his voice for the rest of the movie. If there's a story behind that I'd like to hear it.

Just like Dragon Ball since Chapter #4.

Any hilarity over that line being redundant is moot for me, as that's arguably one of the best deliveries Nadolny did in EVERYTHING she ever did in the franchise (and seeing as how I actually like her in the roles, this is saying a lot actually).

Was going to post that, it's pretty much the only line in the entire Funimation dub(s) that I legitimately don't like.

I agree that Nozawa is an incredible talent but must we stoop to calling FUNi's actors "dumb"?
But they almost ruined Dragon ball with poor performance, awful name changes and horrible dialogues. Funi is really dumb.

Not in Kai. Kai is full of excellent performances and good dialog. Even GT and the original DB had plenty of those things. Heck, the Buu arc got closer to the original.

"My father's son" is an expression in the US. It means "I'm almost exactly like my dad".

The SSJ2 Transformation in FUNimation's dub, I actually like the scream Nadolny did, but it's ruined with the unnecessary monolouge and a lack of Spirt vs. Spirt on the Dub with Original Score audio option or the only dub on the Dragon Box.

This. I do think the phrase is redundant, but it's not nearly as ridicule worthy as many here make it out to be.

Hold on, GT? I mean, I guess anything is better than Z. But I still don't see how you can say GT had excellent performances. Chris Sabat practically ruins the entire series for me with his delivery of lines in Ep. 63. He's meant to sound desperate and angry, instead he sounds like a man on a mission to rid the Earth of evil. And if I remember correctly, doesn't Goku offer Yi Xing Long the opportunity to apologize after wiping out most of Earth? Given, I haven't watched much of GT dubbed, but the scenes that really make that series for me were completely ruined.

How much of Chris's performance is due to the writing?

Even assuming you are correct, neither of those things ruined that entire dub for me.

Edit: I've looked at the episode, and I'm not hearing what you're hearing from Sabat. Yeah, Goku's apology line was asinine, but it's one moment in 64 episodes. "Mondo cool" and "we're two wild and crazy space explorers" bothers me way more.

Freeza's voice in general kills the mood  .
Vegeta: "Funny... I seem to recall Kakarot being fed the same information right before he transformed; the distinct look on your faces when he went Super Saiyan didn't exactly inspire confidence. One does not predict or calculate power like ours."
