I skipped last years game and didn't enjoy the 2011 one. Hopefully this will be something worth our time.

Alright, these news were enough to disable me from rage mode!
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

He meant that by not confirming they're in (they kinda avoided answering directly) they confirmed it's in. You kinda understood it in reverse :P

That's pretty disrespectful to say that people who only play online don't have a life, it's not that, it's just that they've grown and don't have other people locally to play with.

Wow, this is golden! I want it even more now!

By the way, I hope it's Shunsuke Kikuchi's synthesised music because I don't know of any Shunsuke Kikushi.

That's not what I was saying. But anyway, sorry if I offended anyone, I was in rage mode.

Finally getting Kikuchi, hell yeah! Since Europe and America tend to have the exact same localization, we should be getting Kikuchi as well. That's enough to get me to buy this! I was already excited for SSJG Goku, the Battle Royale aspect as well. I hope Birus is in the game too! So far the only negative seems to be the lack of local multiplayer. But, most of the time I'm playing by myself. If my brother and cousin wanna play it, we'll have to take turns.

Has Namco Bandai done a deal with AB Groupe to use Kikuchi's music in EU/US or what?

I'm really excited that I finally get to listen to Kikuchi's synthesised score without the need of loading the tracks through the USB/HDD.

So currently we have these games for the current-gen consoles:
1) DBZ Burst Limit
2) DBZ Raging Blast
3) DBZ Raging Blast 2
4) DBZ Kinect
5) DBZ Budokai HD Collection

Not sure Ultimate Blast qualifies as a game because you just rely on QTE, move around a little, punch/kick and then get to a rock paper scissor match (random luck more or less). Could work with a DVD Remote if they made it possible. DBZ Kinect is a game because it uses the player's body as the controller and it does work, but let's just forget the previous Spike games.

So considering that since Raging Blast 1 we've been getting Collector's Edition packages, I assume we'll get one too for DBZ Battle of Z, and if it's worth the extra (figure + music cd + book) then I'll buy that than the standard edition.

It'd definitely be nice to have offline Multiplayer...I have friends who are just into it enough to play, but not enough to buy their own copy. Eh well, the Kikuchi score news is great!

I liked the character creator and would like to see an improved version come over to Battle of Z. The Hero Mode was fun, even if the story was a bit iffy for it.

Great story mode, awesome animated scenes & opening, fun what-if story, a character creator (a terrible one, but it's a good start), the graphics, the music.

- Story Mode with a ton of cutscenes which makes it a much more faithful experience than other DBZ games out there.
- Graphics they looked great.
- Destructive arenas, but they'd get re-re-re-re-destructed and then it'd get old.
- Music, the in-game sounded great though all very alike which wasn't bad but slightly annoying, the cinematic score was great.
- Cutscenes are where it shows that they put their best efforts to, they all look great (in-game/anime).
- Opening Video

If only Ultimate Blast wasn't advertised as a game it would have been a success.

About damn time we got Shunsuke Kikuchi's score  ! Oh and about UT, I saw potential. UT2 would probably be a pretty solid game if they just added to the gameplay, roster, and character creation.
