Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
I believe a great man in Dragon Ball once said something along the lines of "All's fair in war. If you were in my place, you'd have done the same thing".
But yeah, not seeing the problem here. This isn't any cheaper than Vegetto pushing Salagir-haxxed Broly out of bounds, or Cell/Buu magically regenerating from everything, or Vegetto existing.

Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

Vegetto is just being a whiny bitch. He should have expected the un-expected.

Vegito physically pushed Broly away for 30 seconds they passed for everyone. Cell and Buu have to be physically damaged to regenerate. What XXI did was move Vegito to a place where time was wrapped and that was the main problem as far as fighting in a tournament goes. Vegito is gone for only a couple of seconds but where XXI put him time was moving differently, sending someone to a different dimension where time is altered in a competition while not illegal is a cheap way to win.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
In a real battle where lives are at stake, what XXI did could be extremely dangerous and even fatal for XXI's opponent.miguelnuva1 wrote:
No it isn't, what XXI did didn't even give Vegito 30 seconds to come back.
Knocking the opponent out of bounds for 30 seconds in a real battle, on the other hand, is nowhere near as dangerous since its way less time.
Also, XXI's technique can only be reversed by someone pretty strong who can free himself from that dimension. Anyone not strong enough or someone who doesn't know how to escape would be unable to escape, meaning total and complete defeat.
It incapacitated Vegetto for several hours. It had exactly the same effect it would have if he had knocked out Vegetto for several hours. It's not traditional fighting but it did beat him and its no different than any other Ki-based sealing technique.hleV wrote:Teleporting someone is not equal to fighting someone. By the way, if this technique is cheap and not fair, is Mafuba cheap and unfair? Is the Genki Dama cheap and unfair? Are zenkais cheap and unfair? Is regeneration cheap and unfair?

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
What XXI did to Vegito is similar to what Mayweather did to Victor Ortiz. Yes what XXI did was without in the rules but others still call it cheap. I am not arguing that Vegito should get a rematch or that what XXI did wasn't fair, just that XXI won in a cheap way. Another example is WWE. Despite being scripted if two people fight one on one in a No DQ match and one guy has 3 more people come jump on the one guy to win, yes it was within the rules but it was still a cheap win.
He went to a Physical competition and did not physical harm to his opponent. In a real fight there is no rules and XXI would be unstoppable based on his attack and the only reason I'm even calling it cheap was because Vegito did not have 30 seconds to get back as everyone else did. Had Vegito being trapped for 30 seconds in both time zones I would have been telling that loser to get to the back as well.
All of the above for the most part are given a fair chance to fight back.

No sense the user dies even if he misses the target.is Mafuba cheap and unfair?
That is a physcial attack and it is not a set KO both Frieza and Vegeta survived it.Is the Genki Dama cheap and unfair?
Once again a Saiyan must be beat to this point. Are zenkais cheap and unfair?
The person regenerating must be beat to this point. Is regeneration cheap and unfair?

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
That depends, Kami didn't die even though he used right? So there's probably a level where someone can use it without being fatal.miguelnuva1 wrote:No sense the user dies even if he misses the target.is Mafuba cheap and unfair?
Its a technique that allows you to attack with potentially unlimited energy that doesn't even belong to you since you can use all the energy around you (plants, animals, people, planets, stars, etc).miguelnuva1 wrote:That is a physcial attack and it is not a set KO both Freeza and Vegeta survived it.Is the Genki Dama cheap and unfair?
Actually, a saiyan can just train and hurt himself to trigger zenkais and become much stronger. That's what Goku did on the way to Namek. He basically fired Kamehamehas at himself and ate senzy beans, triggering several zenkais. Kind of cheap.miguelnuva1 wrote:Once again a Saiyan must be beat to this point. Are zenkais cheap and unfair?
They don't have to be beaten. They just have to be hurt. And regeneration immediately nullifies the damage. If a normal fighter is facing an opponent with regeneration, he is immediately at a disadvantage based on that alone.miguelnuva1 wrote:The person regenerating must be beat to this point. Is regeneration cheap and unfair?
As does XXI's technique. They just have to be sure that it doesn't hit them. There are several possibilities on how that might work that were already discussed in this topic.miguelnuva1 wrote:All of the above for the most part are given a fair chance to fight back.
Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
For some reason this reminds me of a video from the Street Fighter Colab on Newgrounds. Ryu throws a Hadouken and his opponent is like wtf? then boooom the guys on the ground blown in half and the crowd's like dude, its supposed to be a freaking street fight and you come out with super powers and kill the guy with magic freaking fireballs WTF man. Then Ryu starts crying or something.hleV wrote:Teleporting someone is not equal to fighting someone. Not in the general sense, anyway.TheGmGoken wrote:He did fight him. With magic. Which you could kind of compare here, sure teleporting isn't normal but neither are the magic fireballs that they throw. Kind of like Goku using the Kamehameha on opponents that didn't know ki attacks in Dragon Ball. Sure its not normal but he did it with his own power. It's also like how in MMA I hear people complain about wrestlers winning by holding their opponent down. Sure sometimes that's boring but hey its not the wrestlers fault that the other guy can't stop him from imposing his will onto him, the other guy should of practiced his ground game more.

Because Buu wants a chance to absorb Vegetto. XXI's win messes up Buu's strategy.

What would Buu gain by absorbing Vegetto? Just more strength, while absorbing XII would give him knowledge of (possibly) great spells, i would choose XII to absorb

The amazing part is that Vegetto didn't burst both of their heads from stomping on them. Looks like Salagir is as inconsistent as the anime itself!

James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Yeah, I was thinking that too. A stomp on the head from SSJ1 Vegetto should be gg for both Bardock and Cold, even with their respective buffs (SSJ and Final Form). That's not even before you factor in the 100x gravity of the battlefield itself...Draken wrote:The amazing part is that Vegetto didn't burst both of their heads from stomping on them. I mean, I guess Vegetto could have held back a little in his anger, but that still has to leave a mark no matter how you look at it.
