Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
I guess that means that Vegetto destroys every house he leans against, every rock he walks on, every person he touches... Or in other words that Vegetto can't control his power and can't suppress it to whatever level he desires.
You really think that is the case? Trunks was a SSJ and he could suppress his power all the way down to 5. Why do you think Vegetto can't do the same? Why do you think that he didn't simply use enough force in his legs to knock Cold and Bardock to the ground without injuring them?

How could he be pissed off and restrain himself at the same time? It doesn't make any sense. So he throws a childish tantrum but at the same time has the peace of mind to restrain himself as to not squish some dudes head?

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Does it really matter if Vegetto squash their heads or not? That scene just emphasized on his frustration, and that is all there is to it.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
He's angry enough to attack them, but not angry enough to mess up his power control and kill them despite not wanting them dead. Besides, he is not Bra who has pretty clear problems controlling her power whenever she gets emotional. Vegetto, just like with anything regarding power, is an absolute master at controlling his power and he wouldn't mess up like that. If he wanted to kill them they would be dead. If he wanted them alive, they would stay alive. And all this despite being angry.
Maybe it would be possible for him to mess up if he was attacking an average human, which would require an extreme level of suppression while attacking angry. But Bardock and Cold aren't that weak that it would require Vegetto to suppress himself down to 5 or something similar.
If Vegetto eventually loses it and starts to attack everyone and becomes a villain, it will be because he wants it that way. Not because he messed up his power control like Bra. (Or if he is being controlled somehow)

I still fail to see the issue of Vegetto's very presence not making people's heads explode, when Mr. Satan was able to survive a bitchslap from Cell back over in the series proper. But maybe that's just me.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Vegeta powering up in the Saiyan Saga caused the Earth to shake and had tons of weird environmental effects, yet Cell didn't kill all life on Earth with his presence.

Herms wrote:The fact that the ridiculous power inflation is presented so earnestly makes me just roll my eyes and snicker. Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

I take Vegetto stomping on Bardock and Cold as sort of gag scene type of thing, I don't see the big deal.
It's not too late. One day, it will be.

Yeah, all of you are probably thinking too far into it.

So, I think I need to re-read some of this to form an educated guess on who the hell Ginyu is exactly. Looks like he could be Gohan... Those visions of Bardocks are so confusing. Things are gonna change even faster than they just did for any of those scenes to make sense.
This is getting very interesting.

Don't worry, the story is already planned out by Salagir. We're finally starting to see the main plot of Multiverse unfold.dbzfan7 wrote:Don't jinx itdprez wrote:This is getting very interesting.

Yes, but we must remember something about those alternate timelines, he's pretty much free to do whatever the hell he wants. Even though we all know and love these characters, these altering story lines give him leeway to basically re-write the characters. They went through events that changed them, and their actions show that. I may not like it anymore than you do, but that's the way his story is.
Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
I wouldn't say so. Babidi was an idiot. Bardock and Hanasia being above King Vegeta goes against a guide book statement (King Vegeta being strongest at the time of Planet Vegeta's destruction) and makes the whole Low Class ideal stupid and pointless if both of Goku's parent's were stronger than Vegeta's. You can ask other guys what else is wrong because there is plenty more.dprez wrote:Yes, but we must remember something about those alternate timelines, he's pretty much free to do whatever the hell he wants. Yes, Babidi using Dabura's energy for Boo's egg before letting him finish off Gohan is idiotic, and is obviously for the plot.
The Bardock flashback is easily the best imo, but I do see what you mean. Although it is still plausible ( Hanasia and Bardock becoming stronger than King Vegeta). I don't see why not...

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
King Vegeta is stated to be the strongest before the destruction of Planet Vegeta. Goku being born from 2 beings above King Vegeta would put him way above the normal low class power level. Goku was also a testament how training can overcome even the elite Saiyan warriors. If he had two parents above the King, then that would make the power level of the parents matter more. Goku was such a special case because he was the son of two nobodies and could surpass Vegeta. Having Bardock and Hanasia that strong cheapens the whole thing.dprez wrote:The Bardock flashback is easily the best imo, but I do see what you mean.
