The anime is bright, i.e. the characters' faces and skin textures are bright or at least clear. All games after RB1 utilized graphics where everything looks muddy, plasticky, and darker. The shading is not like the anime. RB1 and the BT series (despite the characters' blocky models) are the only games that depicted the anime accurately. Just look at NUNS. Those look like the anime because their cel-shading is spot on.

I am not talking about the way the models are programmed or shaped. Just the surface of everything in this game does not look like the anime, at least not as much as some previous games managed to do. That's what Treevax intended to improve.

I'm having the same issue, this is the link of the Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/DBZ.videogames so why can't we see it?

Namco Bandai might post some news about BoZ and some people won't be able to visualise it.

I even tried with a second account and no luck.

Battle of Z looks much more accurate than Spike's version.

Is there a way that you can somehow explain why you think Spike's models are more precise?
The faces look nothing like their anime counterparts. Seriously how in the hell do you think these models are more accurate :eh: ?

- Skin colour
- Hair
- Body detailed
- Eyes
- Mouth
- Ears
- Clothes

It also helps that it's in HD.

I just can't see how Spike's models were better, ARTDINK has done a better job so far.

You're not making a good case by having both pictures side by side. The eyes, the skin tone, the ears, all of that don't match. Spike was closer. The only thing you were right about is the clothing.

Skin color?
It couldn't be more different. Such a smeary dark hue looks nothing like the anime.

Tenkaichi 3 model looks closer to me. We need the best shot of Tenkaichi 3 and t he best shot of BOZ to compare fairly. Someone said the OOZaru was correctly sized to me it looked playable size in that one picture.

Anyway RB was not a HD Tenkachi it was simply spiritual successor, say what you ant about spike but I'm still waiting for Tenkachi 4 one day. It may or may not be made but I'm still hoping for it.

I do still plan on getting BOZ but with no local multiplier I won't be in a hurry for it now.

We just have to agree to disagree because this isn't getting anywhere and you're the only one that seems to give it much more importance than you should.

Anyway, any new updates?

The eyes ears and skin tones are just fine. The hair(in this shot) doesn't look as spiky as the drawing that you decided use for the Goku. The artist, doesn't look like it's Toriyama, decided to put more detail into the spikes which are nice liberties you can make with 2D art; but if you compare it to any other Dragonball pic from the manga or anime where the Spikes aren't as detailed:

Image

It looks just fine. You can have your opinion on the Spike models but these models aren't horribly wrong like you're trying to suggest. In every single one of your posts you haven't really done anything to show how wrong they are; hell in a few cases the models from both Spike and these guys look identical. The major improvement however is the fact that the backgrounds and the characters themselves work together instead of clash like they do in the Raging Blast games. On top of that, the huge flaw from Spike that has been consistent with every game to date is the abnormal head size. I wouldn't say the models are horribly wrong like you are trying to do with Battle of Z but it is a flaw. And by trying to hold one over the other, I'm going to call you out on it. Here is what I mean:

Spike Models

Anime/Manga

http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb2 ... _ready.png
https://encrypted-tbn1.gstatic.com/imag ... zfxufJnE8N

His forehead isn't as huge as Spike seems to think. It's fine; it's a style. Hell, the anime has many of them. But trying to say the models of Battle of Z don't look like the anime or manga is ridiculous. Especially when you're trying to put spike on a pedestal.
...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?

Why not? A good create-a-character mode is something we still really need (at least IMO) in a DBZ game. I can see not wanting another travesty like Ultimate Tenkaichi's mode was, but...

If they put a character creation, which they won't, they would have to put custom movesets and create a move just like on the wwe games. They'll never make a perfect DB game :(

DBZ game fans will need to decide on what a perfect game is before they make one.

The character on the right isn't Goku. The two faces are really different.

Okay... I have to say it now. Why does the picture on the left keep getting referenced? It's clearly a fan-made render... and it totally looks off. His head looks huge, and his hair looks too bushy. There's literally thousands of better pictures to use as an example than that. :?

The same can be said about the image on the right too. It's an awkward image and we've seen better from the Game.

Can you guys just stop with the huge images? Put some freaking spoiler tags at least!
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.
