It is, as well as the Cell Juniors that Gohan kills later on, much more graphic than the anime version. Even in censored versions of the manga, they've always been far more graphic of deaths.
Like last week, I've put up
another review. It's no "Manga Review of Awesomeness" but you'll get to see some cool art! Give it a look.
SPOILER: I like it.

Yeah, that's why a few weeks ago when posting previews for that chapter, I chose that picture in the selection: I found quite striking the fact that once in color, the panel emphasizes the vision of having his internal organs exploding all over his spot.
And it's a very nice choice of color with those red organs (as with anybody) mixed with that white liquid that inspires the idea of plant sap (seems normal for "Plant Men").
Saibaimen, as litterally Plant Men, have the mixed inside of men and plant!

The shot is much more graphic in color, which is good for the shocking moment of seeing Vegeta remotely ripping apart his own creature in a second.

Here's a comparison between the full color manga and the anime.
The full color manga feels more gore-ish and violent because of the contrast between the colors. The anime version's colors and the bright flash tone it down a bit.

I just posted a message to MangaPolo (via Facebook), asking them if they'll do Freeza arc. I hope they speak English, and I hope they'll reply to me.
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

That would be nice to know it, although I'm sure they'll get to it as a continuation of the Saiyan saga, covering the same slot.
I would also like to know when Shueisha plans on revealing the Cell and Boo sagas, but there would be no point asking them, they just won't tell a tiny single thing until the day they finally decide to do so... if ever.

Hopefully it will be a full release and carry over some of their 3-in-1 practices(uncensored, one series). It is good to hear that it will be larger than regular volumes unlike the Japanese print release.
I'm excited.

Looking at my graphic novels on my shelf if that's going to be the size i'm picking these one up as an upgrade for the vizbigs.

If it's uncensored and translated well, then sold. I will buy every volume.

If it's uncensored then I'm on it. A new translation would be nice but I can deal with the one we've got. This kind of makes their recent 3-in-1's (and even the VIZBIGs) pretty much obsolete. Only the DBZ-manga is in color though, right?

No, the entirety of the manga save for the Buu portion has been released digitally.
I highly doubt this will come uncensored. It seems like a no-brainer to take the already existing color pages and change the text, but this is Viz.

Oh, cool. I've been reading the SJ Alpha digital releases from the Saiyan arc but aside from that I haven't really been following this stuff much. The 3-in-1's are uncensored (or at least they're supposed to be, we'll see how that reprint and future volumes turn out) so it's not too far-fetched to think these might be too. They'd have to re-censor the art all over again with the color pages too.

The Artificial Human/Cell arc hasn't been released yet either. I don't think this should be a problem since I'm 99.9% sure these things have been long finished given the GENKIDAMA video, images in the Chozenshuu, and the posters they have been releasing. As for art censorship, I think we can assume Popo will be lip-less like in their uncensored digital version.
I would prefer it if he was purple or blue though.

It's easy to overlook, this stuff's been available for
almost a year(in Japanese) and I just learned about it two months ago.
And oops, Makaioshin is correct about the Cell arc not being available yet.
