This one probably was recorded the day after Treevax's video was.
The gameplay doesn't look the same, I don't remember seeing a sitting Oozaru on the first video
Looks awesome by the way. For those who say the characters don't look like themselves, just look at these "expression avatars" at both sides of the screen :P

InfernalVegito wrote:You adamantly seem to not grasp that for some people more characters can mean quality as well. There is not one definitive objective "quality".
They don't mean quality because they're just clones of more clones, which play alike the rest and aren't unique nor do they have any originality.
miguelnuva1 wrote:What terrible flaws? U mean highest selling dbz game and second only to budokai 3 and that is still debated.
Source?

Don't give me Wikipedia/VGChartz because they're both bs.
TheMightyOzaru wrote:Burst Limit still has the best graphics for a DBZ game by far. It's kinda sad they haven't used or improved that style.
I'll hold that judgement until I play BoZ myself, because we can't judge the game right away merely due to screenshots/cam-gameplay, not to mention YouTube compresses the video quality.
TheGmGoken wrote:Yup. Graphics doesn't mean shit
If that were true, then we'd be stuck to SNES graphics which barely look anything like the anime/manga, so yeah, the graphics do matter.
TheGmGoken wrote:Serious Mode: Revenge of King Piccolo had Burst limit graphics. But sadly was downgraded for the Wii's lack of HD functions
Wii/PS2 can be played in HD via computer, just make sure the PC has the requirements needed.

Awesome! ^_^

Anyway, we're finally getting a new game instead of a Tenkaichi/RB rehash and people are bashing it. Just wait and play it yourself, oh wait, some of you would rather trust opinions/reviews of other than yourself.

Aw, it's the cheap sounding synthesized Kikuchi score again. Why don't they just use the original like Zenkai Battle Royal?

"Another scenario made for Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z has players fight all of Goku’s family – including Bardock "
Sounds fun! & Woot! Bardock confimed, maybe we will even see him in his super saiyan form.

"Missions in Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z are shown from the perspective of being good or evil. Villains can team up with heroes in the game, but they won’t be appreciative when good characters share energy or heal them."

"Seiki confirmed to Siliconera that there will be characters from Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods, a movie released in Japan this past March. Super Saiyan God level Goku will be in the game for sure. We asked about Birus and Seiki didn’t say no… so… "

dbboxkaifan, et al.: Can you please knock off the snide and back-handed comments toward each other? All these back-and-forths just read "Nuh uh! / Yeah huh!" and it looks ridiculous. There are polite ways to phrase things, and you're not doing so.

We've only seen about 2 images of SSJG in this game so far, and they're both at unclear angles.

Harder than a simple palette swap, at least.
Plus, people complaining about the Super Saiyan God sometimes bring arguments like "he's thinner, so he's less impressive" or "his eyes are kind instead of serious, so he's less impressive", so...

Basically, I guess it's mostly because it's easier for them than to build a totally different model, and a little bit because they think the general audience will respond better if they keep him "normally muscular" and "with a serious look in his eyes" - basically avoiding the "cute" side of the transformation and trying to make him more of a "badass".

And I'm not saying they're right, just coming up with potential explanations. :)

I would also not be surprised if their model for ssjg Goku was built inaccurately on purpose so it doesn't look as cute as it is in the movie. >_> Makes me feel sad, but I understand why they did it. :(
I wish they didn't have to though. I like how cute ssjg Goku is.

At least Heroes and Zenkai don't ignore it. The cards for Heroes cards also still use magenta for the hair. :3

It looks really good, and it's amazing that when Goku hits Vegeta with a Kamehameha in his leg he falls, and when he hits him in the face with one he holds his face/eyes. :)

I noticed that as well, along with that part of the body appearing damaged. Really great work!
Would be neat if non-giant characters will have multiple forms of battle-damage.

Actually yea, it could be depending on the time allowed. We're talking about a completely new character model; rigging; and programming for a character transformation. I don't exactly know how the developer handle transformations but it looks like they just tweak the base model riggings. Basically, while I don't know for sure, I'd imagine they would just remodel the heads for the transformations and re-use everything else. It would save a lot of development time. If that were to case, their thinking wouldn't be any different for SSJ God. It would almost be like making a new character from the ground up. And at that point the question is, would it be better to make a new model that would only look different cosmetically; or should we put that time into other new characters and increase the roster? That amount of time, effort and space isn't worth the hassle; especially when you are a new team working on a new game for the first time.

I'm still not all that impressed. I'm still seeing a severe lack of options gameplay-wise. Seriously, this looks BT1 restrictive.
Vegeta: "Funny... I seem to recall Kakarot being fed the same information right before he transformed; the distinct look on your faces when he went Super Saiyan didn't exactly inspire confidence. One does not predict or calculate power like ours."

That's because it looks choppy as hell. Also the across-the-field-teleporting chase moves (triangle) remind me of initiating UT's QTEs.

Well, you can choose to follow-up the combo by pressing a button after another player sends the enemy flying, it's just a group effort ping-pong attack. Honestly I don't see any choppiness, looks smooth to me. My only pet peeve is that the models look kind of clunky/stubby, and the way Goku flies forward when he isn't dashing looks awkward (with his hands down by his side) and kind of stiff.
If he had one of his legs up and his hands in a power-up looking pose while drifting forward he would probably look pretty badass and would surely complement his movement when he takes off flying full blast.
Also, I hope Oozaru Vegeta has more attacks/melee variations than that, probably has to do with the difficulty setting being a demo and all.

I just caught that too. Little details like this are a nice touch. I don't think any other game has put focus on this sort of thing and that's pretty cool.

What I dislike in this game is when you get hit by the opponent, you instantly fly very far. You don't even see Goku flying, you just instantly go very far away.

I still like to see in a DBZ video game that you see the character get blow up into dust or pieces when you used a ultimate attack on them on their final health bar. In the other games, you see their bodies gone for good but never any type of cut scene of them getting destroy completely. For example, if you used a spirit bomb on Cell on final heath bar then you will see his body getting destroyed completely.

Just like Kid Boo getting torn into infinite pieces? Right, that's what I want as well, but I don't think they're ever going to make it like that because then the rating would be different I conjecture.
