But we are not talking about pressing a button, we are talking about ki techniques. One needs the proper knowledge about ki control, ki manipulation, etc.

Re: The All-Purpose "Versus" Thread
I was wondering if Cell actually had memories (non fighting technique related) of the Z-Warriors.
Based on what I've read, Cell seemed to be aware of the dragon balls being useless once Piccolo merged with Kami--thinks he's capable of creating a Genki Dama, and Piccolo (Vegeta as well) seems to think Cell will be a galactic threat since he'll have extensive knowledge of various planets with Freeza's cells.

He could have been given a crash course lesson on the events, techniques, world and mythology while in his tube for 20 something years.

Gero's little bug robot thing was following Goku around everywhere though. I'd say it probably picked up numerous conversations.Super Saiyan Turlast x4 wrote:I was wondering if Cell actually had memories (non fighting technique related) of the Z-Warriors.

Actually, think of what all that thing probably saw. It had been following Goku since the 23rd Budokai, right?
Can you show the quote that says Cell will be a galactic threat due to his knowledge of various planets?

True. I forgot about the spy robot.
The quote:
The quote:
Tien: "We must thwart its fusion with Nos. 17 and 18...or else"
Piccolo: "Not just earth...but all the planets in the galaxy will be in danger. Don't forget that it has Freeza's blood too!"
Vegeta: "And mine."

That could just be in reference to Freeza and Vegeta's traits though. If Cell decided to act like Freeza or Vegeta did, he'd become a threat to the galaxy like they were.Super Saiyan Turlast x4 wrote:True. I forgot about the spy robot.

Re: The All-Purpose "Versus" Thread
Honestly, my above post (about Cell's memory) was off the top of my mind. I hadn't actually seen the actual quote in awhile until just now, so the context looks different.

How strong is SSJ Sourman/Suppaman. Yes I know he is a gag character, but still. He breaks 1 tile while Mr. Satan can break 18 (I don't remember his count). Would SSJ make him formidable to DB levels?
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

Ultimate Perfect Cell vs Ultimate Gohan
How strong would Cell be if Rou Kaioshin was to draw his dormant power far, far, fa~ar beyond its limits?

Super Saiyan Suppamon can break 50 tiles.
I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!

I feel like Cell doesn't have much dormant power, so Gohan should have this.DBZGTKOSDH wrote:Ultimate Perfect Cell vs Ultimate Gohan

Re: The All-Purpose "Versus" Thread
I've always felt that what ultimately defeated Cell was the fact that he didn't have Gohan's cells.
Re: The All-Purpose "Versus" Thread
No one has more potential than Gohan imo. The only character I could think of that could surpass him would require me to go outside of canon. Broly should have tons of more potential than Gohan imo, but canonically no one touches Gohan.

Re: The All-Purpose "Versus" Thread
Cell has the potential for haxxed training gains of Piccolo and the bullshit zenkais of Goku. A few days after he was born, he was the most powerful being in the universe, and had not trained at all or taken advantage of those abilities to reach this point.
Since his Cell Games level is basically his 'starting' level, and he can duplicate Goku's and Piccolo's bullshit "I'm suddenly tens of times stronger" gains, he ROFLSTOMPS.

Herms wrote:The fact that the ridiculous power inflation is presented so earnestly makes me just roll my eyes and snicker. Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

What's an Ultimate Perfect Cell
?
Vegeta: "Funny... I seem to recall Kakarot being fed the same information right before he transformed; the distinct look on your faces when he went Super Saiyan didn't exactly inspire confidence. One does not predict or calculate power like ours."

What's a near death injury for Cell? Losing the right half of his body? Nope. Getting the entire top half of his body blown off? Nope. Seems to me zenkai's would be incredibly rare and near impossible for Cell. And note that zenkais and OP training aren't necessarily a part of a person's potential. Otherwise Goku during DB would have skyrocketed to his SSJ3 level+. Cell was probably already near his potential, that was how he was built.RandomGuy96 wrote:Cell has the potential for haxxed training gains of Piccolo and the bullshit zenkais of Goku.
