Sabat said they are casting voices for new characters, PLURAL, from Battle of Gods for this game. There are only 4 new characters total; Super Saiyan God Goku, Birus, Whis and the Yogengyo. Godku is just Goku and the Yogengyo is a non-fighting fish. That means at least Birus is confirmed, since he was an actual combatant from the film, and probably Whis too.

That's pretty cool. Beers might get me to buy the game.

According to the interview there is no Character Creator, but Character Customization. I'm kinda get more disappointed and less hyped the more I hear about this game. No local multiplayer and no character creator sucks. The game also looks kinda slow and i'm not too fond of the artistic look. I like how SSJ looks but that's it.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

He mentioned trying to keep the development cycle the way this game is (2+ years)... does that mean we'll get a Spike game next time? It makes me wonder if they're going to take turns each year... a la Call of Duty.

Well... I'm not giving up on this game. Honestly if the gameplay can captivate, I can deal with whatever "problems" this game might have. Same reason I even considered Burst Limit. As much as it doesn't cater to every fan's whims, it's still much better that the games we've been getting.

HOWEVER... the question about the BGM is killing me. It's up for discussion... why? What is there to discuss other than, WE ALL WANT KIKUCHI. Don't care if it's a cheap synthesized version either, I'm done with these international lame ass scores. (RB2's score was ok).

Well, I think it has to do with licensing issues. It wouldn't even be an issue if it weren't for all the red tape held up by AB Groupe, who for some reason, holds the rights to the Kikuchi BGM, and apparently have been jerks about letting Europe/United States versions of the games have it.

No DB/GT characters is definitely disappointing, but I guess that was a luxury that'd have to end eventually anyway.

I had a feeling that it will be a DBZ game only. We could get GT characters in the sequel.

Wasn't it said somewhere that there would be DLC? I'm sure new characters in a DLC pack isn't difficult for them.

Also, I keep forgetting the fact that we could most likely play our own music while playing the game, but it would be more convenient if the BGM was just there. I had a feeling licensing was the issue... it always is.

DBZ games never had any major DLC outside of pointless skins. I won't give up your hopes up on DLC characters.

I feel like the only one who isn't bummed GT isn't included. I mean I get why people would want it: more characters; and some people like GT. But personally I don't feel like its a big deal. I've never been a fan of the series and honestly the games have never focused on the series as much as they should have. Most of the characters are way too overpowered; and the ones that aren't(Pan) are dead weights. Plus I feel like with Battle of Z and even Dragonball Online, there seems to be a push to wipe GT out of continuity. Not that it's an excuse, but with Battle of Z's inclusion I figured GT was going to be forgotten about.

That being sad, not having Dragonball is a bummer. I guess it clashes with the style they were going for in the game. Plus considering most of the Dragonball protagonist couldn't fly at the time, I think it hinders the game from a design standpoint. If, sorry when, they make a sequel I think Dragonball should be included and a new style should be implemented to accommodate the series. Again not a big deal, now, but it's something I'd like to see in the future.

Also, I want to add something. The fact that they sat down to watch the anime and study the manga to look at character movements and things like that makes me happy. I like hearing that from developers and I hope it's true. Little details like this are a big plus for me, and so far from the way I've seen it they've been doing almost everything right.
...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?

You're not alone since I don't care if we don't get GT characters. I had a feeling that we won't get GT characters. GT characters are only added in games because they are popular with American fans.

I'm OK with the no GT characters. GT is a stain on an otherwise pretty damn good series.

As an American I'm not sure about that honestly. Most people I talk to don't really care for the series but kinda like the characters for gaming only. Whenever the question comes up with people I'm talking to there is a collective head shake and sigh at the thought of it's existence.

I would have said skid mark on the freshly cleaned underpants that is Dragonball, but that might have been a bit much.

Negatives just keep adding on to this game. I am not trying to hate on the game I just feel the game is shooting it's self in the foot more for a game that had 2 years of development.

I mean GT's story is whatever, but I like the villains from it. Super 17 was still the coolest thing to me. I was excited when he was included in Infinite World. Anywho... yea I won't be bummed that he won't be in it, there's other things to worry about.

I really think they could get away with including GT characters without including GT story. That's kind of all GT is good for anyway.
