Re: Dragon Ball Heroes
Gyarik Blazer is used in the Super 17 (Cell Absorbed) video I posted. Pretty much a Big Bang Attack fired is a slightly altered pose that resembles the Gyarik Gun.DNA wrote:Got any videos of Gigantic Ω and Gyarik Blazer?
For Broli's Ω thingy, just hit up youtube with ギガンティック・オメ for a SS3 Broli video. It's his only attack, so he's pretty much guaranteed to use it sometime during it. Not really anything special, tis like a green Kamehameha.
Re: Dragon Ball Heroes
Oh, I never knew that "Shocking Death Ball" was a dubism. I had heard his English VA say "Electric Hell Sphere" in one of the video games (I think it was BT3) and assumed that was the dubism. I'm glad that's not the case, because I always preferred Electric Hell Sphere and didn't like that the name was so similar to "Revenge Death Ball" from the previous arc villain (which in turn is somewhat similar to Freeza's plain Death Ball which is bad enough).
I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!

Re: Dragon Ball Heroes
I still wanted to see a Cell and Freeza fusion happen. They both team up in GT, I was hoping that would be the fantasy character of the Super 17 saga set.

Re: Dragon Ball Heroes
The idea of Super 17 absorbing Cell is better than the execution. I guess they really wanted to stay true to GT.
It is good to see that they can still surprise us with weird transformations.

Re: Dragon Ball Heroes
So it seems Super 17's Cell absorbed form is not buff because he absorbed Cell, but because it likely comes after Super 17 having absorbed enough energy to become buff all on his own. I didn't notice a card for this form in GM9, but they show off the art and game model for it on this V-Jump promo. Hopefully someone who speaks Japanese can look over the text and see if it mentions a specific form name anywhere.

Wow... so, the Cell absorbed form is even less original now. It's like a reskin. With no new moves. Okay.TheDevilsCorpse wrote:So it seems Super 17's Cell absorbed form is not buff because he absorbed Cell, but because it likely comes after Super 17 having absorbed enough energy to become buff all on his own. I was Thanos before the MCU existed!
Re: Dragon Ball Heroes
Ah, that does make sense. Looks like Gyt Kaliba called it!
I wish we had a non-buff version of this form, though.

I am utterly confused by this feeling. This never happens. I was right. What bizarre alternate universe did I just wander into?Saiga wrote:Ah, that does make sense. Looks like Gyt Kaliba called it!
Jokes aside, I think I'd have preferred a little more messing around with this new form's design and the ditching of the bulkiness. Since they're kinda thinking about absorptions though, this is giving me ideas for later stuff. Like, remember when Naturon Shenron (Yeah, I still can't remember their non-dub names) tried to possess SS4 Goku instead of Pan? Just...imagine...

Re: Dragon Ball Heroes
Well, when I mentioned new moves I was imaging the team attacks, I seem to remember SSJ3 Trunks having a team attack with Goku and Beat and I think Gogeta had one with Gotenks. I could be completely wrong though since I don't really follow this game all like that.TheDevilsCorpse wrote:Eh, the only characters with truly new attacks are the SS3 Vegetas (which share their new one) and SS3 Broli.goku the krump dancer wrote:Trunks and Gogeta got new moves with their SSJ3 forms and I'm sure Mirai Gohan has a few new tricks up his sleeve also.
SS Bardock - Riot Javelin (Old), Rebellion Trigger (New Name, old attack from Raging Blast)
SS3 Vegeta - Final Impact (Old), Big Bang Attack (Old), Final Flash (Old), Gyarik Blazer (New)
SS3 Vegeta (GT) - Gyarik Blazer (New)
SS3 Trunks (Future) - Burning Attack (Old)
SS3 Trunks (Adolescent) - Shining Slash (Old), Buster Cannon (Old), Finish Buster (Old)
SS3 Trunks (GT) - Buster Cannon (Old), Finish Buster (Old)
SS3 Gohan (Future) - Super Kamehameha (Old)
SS3 Gogeta - Soul Punisher (Old)
SS3 Broli - Gigantic Meteor (Old), Gigantic Omega/Ω (New)
Bebi-Janenba - Hell Gate (Old)
Super 17 (Cell Absorbed) - Electric Hell Ball (Old)
I didn't/dont expect full new movesets with characters with new transformations because Dimps or rather the Budokai engine doesn't really work that way.
It's not too late. One day, it will be.

Re: Dragon Ball Heroes
Does any other character get any new moves exclusive to DBH?
And also, is the huge Super #17 a different form/state?

James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Re: Dragon Ball Heroes
The new really buff Super 17 card is 超17号(人造人間吸収) / Chō 17-gō (jinzōningen kyūshū), or Super 17 (Artificial Human Absorption).

I guess it means "he's absorbed a lot of ki, just like Artificial Humans do!"DNA wrote:What?TheDevilsCorpse wrote:The new really buff Super 17 card is 超17号(人造人間吸収) / Chō 17-gō (jinzōningen kyūshū), or Super 17 (Artificial Human Absorption).

Really? Because what it seems to imply is that he is capable of absorbing other Artificial Humans. So back to my "improved version of #13's absorption" theory...JulieYBM wrote:I guess it means "he's absorbed a lot of ki, just like Artificial Humans do!"DNA wrote:What? :|TheDevilsCorpse wrote:The new really buff Super 17 card is 超17号(人造人間吸収) / Chō 17-gō (jinzōningen kyūshū), or Super 17 (Artificial Human Absorption).

Yeah, I thought the same thing about him absorbing other Artificial Humans. Weirdly worded if that isn't the case.
