What is going on with this game, do people still play it?
Is it safe to assume that this is never coming to America?

What is going on with this game
I think the latest update in terms of main villains is a new Cell. Called CellX. The plot is moving forawrd
do people still play it?
A lot of people do.
Is it safe to assume that this is never coming to America?
DBO coming to America is very similar to OCean Dub Kai being released ever since 2010. We never know what will happen. We get hints but we never know for sure.

Yes. I also play it when I have time.

No. I believe, as well as many others do, that they haven't release the game in Japan, Europe, and US because they want to add more things in the game & fix the problems, so that it will make a bigger impact when they'll announce it. For example, you couldn't fly in the game originally, but now you can, and they will also add aerial fighting in the near future, the TMQ (missions that send you back in time, during the events of the manga to help Goku & co. & to prevent the Time Breakers (villains of the game) from altering history) haven't even finish Freeza arc yet, there are still more skills (including both new ones & those from the manga) to be added in the future, there are more quests coming, and who knows what they'll add next. I believe that when the game gets ready, it will go internationally, but we will have to wait for that.

But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Compared to other MMOs, does it hold up?

The graphics are already outdated. This game was made for Korea because they're huge fans of MMO RPGs.
It's too late for an international release. The game will remain in Korea and countries around. It won't even be released in Japan.

The graphics of WoW are not better than the graphics of DBO. So, by your logic, WoW should be abandoned by the developers.

Well, not for nothing but WoW is, according to the developers, planned to receive a major update to it's graphics at some time.

We are talking about the present, not the future. And who's to say that DBO won't receive a graphics update?

Are you actually serious right now? Such underdog games never receive graphics updates.

Well, I know shit about MMOs. :P
But still, just because the graphics are outdated doesn't mean that it will never be released internationally. Besides, the graphics are not that bad for a manga/anime based game.

Yes, but as it presently stands the developers are aware that the update is overdue, it mostly hasn't happened because of Blizzard's notorious date of soon.
