Buu Saga Kai
Re: Buu Saga Kai
Isn't Chis Sabat known for presenting what he wants as 'fact' rather than accurate opinions? I seem to remember that being brought up the last time he mentioned episode count.

Re: Buu Saga Kai
Even if that's what he said, I really have a hard time trying to believe that Toei really made it 69 episodes as it would eliminate very few things in the end for a product that's heavily based on "all material deemed unnecessary has been removed for a super-fast pace". And it's easy for one person to get mixed up in numbers.
So I'd rather wait for a more official announcement from Toei or Funimation, or someone who has spoken to the Toei staff to ask them the number of episodes.
Shouldn't Funimation be already promoting the new Kai Boo Saga with a trailer by now? It's only in half a year now... It's about time to start warning the general public they will finally see the Boo saga in the greatest conditions ever, especially when it leads directly to Battle of Gods which is still the hot topic right now and what everyone's waiting to see/own.
Since they're currently dubbing it, and they tend to dub opening/ending songs, they likely have them and could also finally tell us about those openings/endings. Unless Toei keeps the creation of the openings/endings for the end, once all episodes have been fully edited, and just add them to all episodes as a final step?

Re: Buu Saga Kai
Why? It has literally never been announced officially before; we got wind of it through a blog post from Kuririn's voice actor. I don't think there's a timetable on announcing a product the general public technically shouldn't even be aware is happening.Cold Skin wrote:Shouldn't Funimation be already promoting the new Kai Boo Saga with a trailer by now?

Re: Buu Saga Kai
Oh, right, we're not supposed to know officially.
Well, that's still strange, it should be like video games: it gets announced even two years before the actual release, with regular news or confirmations that it still exists along the way.
That way it keeps the flame up all along and keep people's interest.
But pretending nothing's happening... well, it just leads to people getting their interest elsewhere and when the thing finally pops up one year after, it's like "oh, I had even forgotten there was supposed to be that thing. Oh well, there's been other things since then and I didn't miss it all that much, I guess I'm not that interested after all".
I don't see how it's a good tactic to keep it all hidden.
From the very first day they got it, they should have put in big letters "The Kai Boo saga is coming in a year, get ready!!" and keep teasing us with bits and pieces all the way to the release.
I mean, what would Kingdom Hearts III, GTA V, Metal Gear Solid V, Assassin's Creed IV and other popular game series get from saying things one month before the release? Not much hype.
So they don't, they say it years in advance and keep showing it's on its way during months and months and months and everybody's talking about them for all year long and getting super excited (well, those interested by those games anyway).
What would Battle of Gods have gotten if they had started talking about it and showing pictures in February for a March release? They didn't do that, they starting telling and showing about it last summer, with info, pictures, teasers, trailers all along that kept discussions on-going...
Maybe someone knowing about marketing could tell me - cause I don't really know about marketing - how keeping things hidden until one week or one month before the airing/release is better than starting getting the hype up one year or several years before like video games - and sometimes movies like The Amazing Spiderman 2 - do. Is it a good thing for them in one or another? Could it be that they are restricted by Toei to keep things quiet and if so, what could be the reason?

Sounds a bit higher. Perhaps it's to match Coleen Clinkenbeard take.

That's what I was thinking as well. It actually works pretty well and he can probably use the deeper voice for Saiyaman.ringworm128 wrote:Sounds a bit higher. Perhaps it's to match Coleen Clinkenbeard's take.

Sounds like his normal speaking voice, personally like it over his older voice.

To me his older voice sounded more teenager like, I think they make his voice higher in audio editing kinda like how Trey Parker voices Cartman in South Park.Daimo-Rukiri wrote:Sounds like his normal speaking voice, personally like it over his older voice.

The first time hearing that was like whoa that sounds nothing like Gohan. I like it.. I think. He sounds younger which is good.

I think it's too early for me to say whether I think it'll be a lot better or not, but I'm looking forward to seeing how this softer, more actual teenager-ish voice may sound like in the final production.

What do these businesses gain by keeping their product a secret? They could at least announce it.

How long is the Buu saga gonna take?
Vegeta: "Funny... I seem to recall Kakarot being fed the same information right before he transformed; the distinct look on your faces when he went Super Saiyan didn't exactly inspire confidence. One does not predict or calculate power like ours."

Re: Buu Saga Kai
I honestly believe the otherworld tournament will be included to at least some degree. The Grand Kai is mentioned in the manga if I remember correctly so I would like at least abit of that saga kept.

Re: Buu Saga Kai
Though TBH I did kind of like the more deeper tone of his Gohan since it gave Gohan's voice a sense of maturity.
Re: Buu Saga Kai
it's going to be nice to see the Buu saga coming to Kai... I'm watching Kai right now, and it's not too bad, though i refer the original- but it's good for what it is
