The anime
Raging Blast 1, 2 and Ultimate Tenkaichi
Zenkai Battle Royal
Battle of Z
Now look at all of these and compare them to see which one resembles the anime the most.. It definitely isn't Battle of Z. Even if they wanted to take the art it a different direction or something, a style similar to Zenkai looks great imo not this blocky squiggly line mess ArtDink has going on at the moment.

Honestly I would prefer if they stuck with trying to look like the show when it comes to the graphics but if they wanted to change it up I'd be all for something like Soul Calibur, Dead or Alive or Tekken'ish style graphics.

I'm okay with the graphics being meh as long if the game is fun. Having nice Graphics are a nice selling point, but I can look past it as long if the game is fun.

For a game that allows 8 players to fight at once, on 8 and 7 year old consoles, the graphics are fine.

RB - Very good
RB2 - Meh (Plasticky)
UB - Meh
ZBR - Looks like an action figure
BOZ - Very good

RB and BOZ graphics for Goku look nice so I still don't see what you're trying to say, but who gives a shit really. It's just a fucking game if you want accuracy read the manga or anime. Take it for what it is and move on.

But even then the best DBZ has ever looked was on Burst Limit and for some reason you forgot the best of all.

Thought that'd be gameplay because without it it's not a game.

Selling points of BoZ:
- 8 players in one battle arena
- Kikuchi music
- What if story

Namco Bandai added new photos to their Facebook DBZ page and one's very interesting:

So an exclusive demo for them to play but not for the rest of us which are in Europe/US? This is rather unfair.

Was it even hands-on for the Japan Expo attendees? I was under the impression (and I could be wrong) you couldn't play it, but rather they were just showcasing it to them.

So, much like the other thread, you're making up things to be mad about where there is no problem.

Sonic Lost World I won't get to play it early but I'm 100% sure Sonic Team has been working on this game to be a wonderful experience, but regarding DBZ it's been quite different for many years now.

BL = Excellent
RB1 = OK.
RB2 = OK.
UB = No demo. It sucked anyway.

If Artdink released a demo they'd potentially gain new customers, but sticking to no demo then that's definitely not going to make anyone buy it except the DBZ fans.

At the event where they showed off the game that line came up, seemingly asking the attendees if they wanted to see them play the game or something. I'm pretty sure attendees themselves could not play the game.

Namco will probably put a demo on XBLA and PSN closer to release like they've done all generation, not counting Ultimate Tenkaichi, but everyone knew it was a reskin of RB2.
SonicTeam isn't locked to annual schedules and tight budgets like Artdink, Spike and Dimps have been; As much as I see your point in being wary of a game after many mediocre releases, the same can be said for Sonic, which has never had any demos put out as far as I know, and has only recently returned to form. While Lost World looks promising, after disappointments with Sonic 2006 and even Unleashed, I still am wary of the game, despite success like Generations.
So with blunders like UT and DBZ for Kinect, despite recent successes with Dragon Ball Heroes: Ultimate Mission and Ultimate Butouden, I'm still wary, but hopeful.

What I was trying to say is Battle of Z's graphics stink compared to past games. I'm not a graphics whore or anything but I just can't get over it, especially since nothing else about this game is really impressing me.

And I didn't include Burst Limit because I don't think those graphics resemble the anime at all, yeah Goku looks like who he's supposed to look like but I don't get the "anime" vibe from those graphics. Its sorta like Budokai 1, the characters looked like who they were supposed be but the graphics didn't resemble the anime.

Visiually the best thing I seen are the few images of SSJ Goke fighting Freeza and sometimes the backgrounds look nice but other than that everything is an

It's one thing to have nice models, and you know what for what they were I like the style Raging Blast was in. It's colorful and vibrant. However, as the games continued the difference between what the character models looked like and how the world looked is almost game breaking bad. I'm sorry, it's just weird. RB2 and UT are the big offenders and even with the more manga looking style, the muddy color scheme and the "realistic" rock textures and etc just look wrong. You put that Goku in front of a white background fine, it's nice, it's just unfortunate that they didn't keep that style consistent throughout the whole game. I've seen the complete game, and it's ugly.

Going back to Battle of Z. This one little detail of blending your background and characters makes the graphics that much better. The models may look weak(I think they're fine) but the whole picture looks better than anything Spike has put out in the past three years.

Edit: I got to ask, why do people keep insisting on showing Kai art instead of actual art from the anime or anything done by Toriama? Seeing has how most of the games go off of those styles, it would make more sense.

I think BoZ has lovely graphics as well, people keep posting awkward screenshots to prove a point but how about watching the gameplay videos we have? The models look amazing in-action and I was rather impressed by them in the most recent video.

I quite like the models too, my only real complaint is Goku's feet. They just look a bit too big. :)

It looks like it's just talking about the four different types of characters. Goku being the fighting type, Vegeta ki, Gohan support, and Ten interference. Well that's the idea I got off of the scan, I could be miles off. :P I dunno if there's anything new though.

Whoa, the graphics look absolutely gorgeous in this scan. I don't know how anyone can continue to complain about it.

Not to mention that only a few people of the public or so had the chance, so whether the graphics look amazing or terrible it's too soon to say, but according to this scan they are indeed wonderful.

None of the newer games graphics hold a candle to the Burst Limit cell shaded look. Shame that series ended so abruptly.

As for Battle of Z I don't mind the new graphics. I had more of an issue with RB2's glossy porcelain doll look.
