Amazon is having a Gold Box sale on Funimation anime today including the Dragon Ball series sets. I was waiting on a potential Dragon Box release (Still am, TBH), but I couldn't pass up the whole series for $60. Anyway, thought I'd pass the info along. Man, this is tempting, even though I've got the boxes released in french. This means I could watch Dragonball with my girlfriend ^^

Funny that these became so cheap during the Steam sales.

Picked up Seasons 1-3. Now I have all of Dragon Ball (or I will when they arrive) and all of Z on DVD, and the Z portion is all FUNi Dragon Box. I think I've got the entire series in the only way I'll need now (unless of course they make a full release of the Z portion that allows you to mix the JPN dialog/voices/script with the Faulconer score).

These prices are fantastic but since I give too much attention to how they're categorised that'd just annoy me a lot. I'll wait for Dragon Box Dragon Ball if FUNimation ever releases it.

Fantastic! While I too am hoping for a DB Dragon Box someday, 100 dollars for all of Dragon Ball and the four movies is simply too great of a deal to pass up.

FMA Blu-Rays are actually really tempting too. Amazon sales are awesome; I remember getting all three seasons of Arrested Development for the price of one last year.

Good choice on Arrested Development.. I picked that up as well. Not sure if you've seen the new Netflix season yet, I was a little disappointed but it was still better than nothing!

I enjoyed it quite a lot; a couple of episodes were a little "eh" at first but I think it rewards rewatches due to the story structure. If we get more seasons though, I'm hoping for a more proper ensemble cast set-up.

I dunno... it seems to me like they might be trying to clear out inventory for a new release (DB-DBox maybe?). I'm just speculating, but I do see that happen with other releases. A new edition is about to come out, so a massive sale is given to the current inventories.

Here is a 3-way comparison on the DBox, the color corrected DBox and the BlueBoxes mentioned in this thread.

The left is the untouched R2 DBox release. The middle has the color cast removed and slight grain reduction. The right is the BlueBox untouched. Seeing it might play a role if you want to purchase it. The Blueboxes are better than the Orange Boxes in my opinion. They are roughly the same as the green DBGT Boxes in terms of quality.
