Why does Goku hate Cell?

All Cell wanted to do is get stronger and test his strength, how can Goku hate a man who has the same ideology as himself?

For example:

Piccolo: Gives him a Senzu Bean and lets him go
Vegeta: Lets him go
Freeza: Gives him energy and lets him go
Majin Buu: Doesnt kill him when he had the chance
Cell: GOHAN KILL HIM AS FAST AS YOU CAN

He appreciates all strong fighters....except Cell?

Uh...

There's a big difference between hunting to sustain your life whilst you train and massacring an entire population for their energy. Not only that but Cell's intention was to destroy Earth following the games not to just prove himself as the best fighter. I think the rest is fairly self explanatory - Goku will always protect Earth and his family from whatever threatens it.

You've said so. He's entitled to make whatever thread he wants. If it violates the rules, then one of the mods will lock it. If you feel that a thread is unneeded, then don't comment on it.

I found that odd as well. He specifically told Gohan to kill Cell, when he had already spared Freeza and Vegeta, who were just as bad, and Piccolo, who, for all he knew, would be just as bad.

I was confused. But the way you explained it now is much better. The way you asked earlier made it seem like you were a troll. You should work on your wording and explanation of things. But didn't Cell last longer than Boo. I thought Boo was only around for 1 - 3 days at most.

Maybe he saw Cell as more of a threat because he got all of their skills and attacks plus he can regenerate...well Boo can as well but Goku had more confident in beating Boo IMO. But with Cell it was like if Gohan loses WE're FUCKED.

I thought Boo was only around for 1 - 3 days at most.

How long did Boo last on Earth and Kaio Planet.

Goku wants Cell dead because the only person who could contend with him was Mr. Disappointment, his first born, the ultimate let down choke extraordinaire...the kid could have saved Earth with no casualties but he gets his Dad and Trunks killed -_- ...Seriously after a year with Gohan trapped in a room Goku would rather stay dead than see him. All kidding aside Cell outclassed Goku so Goku wants to make sure he can be put down and Gohan was being cocky so he emphatically tells Gohan to kill the guy before Cell does anything terrible...HOLD UP! Cell inflates self to blow up planet and all cuz Mr. Disapointment did what he did best...let down his team...without Vegeta blasting Cell it seems to me that Cell would have won.

Goku > greater than all of them at the point of those moments. (except Vegeta, he needed help with that one). Goku knew all of Piccolo's moves by that point Piccolo was beaten...the manga makes that pretty darn clear...with no functioning limbs Goku beat Piccolo. Freeza had one arm and just a shared bit of Goku's energy, Freeza was not a threat. Goku continuously said (paraphrasing) "so what what if everyone gets killed by Boo we have the dragon balls...by all accounts I should not even be here this is a fight for those who are alive it's their world." Even Piccolo offers up all of the Earthlings to Super Boo to stall for time.

So again Cell was a much bigger threat at that moment because the planet's fate was in the hands of an 11 year old boy who had a track record for failing to come through.

I figured it was because he learned his lesson after Freeza.

With Freeza he saw how things can backfire when his opponent gets desperate, so he wanted Cell to be finished off before he got to that point.

9-10*. Anyways. What track record? Only time he failed was with Nappa when both Krillin and Piccolo attacked him. Goku wasn't even there. Gohan hasn't really failed and it was Goku's fault for not knowing his son as Piccolo said. He doesn't like fighting.
