So I bought a copy of DBZ Sagas...

So I bought a copy of DBZ Sagas...
So, these are my experiences:
- Glitched at times where you are stuck in flight mode
- Using a SSj Kamehameha at a measly robot henchman who blocks it with minimal damage somehow
- Glitch where Freeza never gets out of his second form
- Glitch where Freeza throws me and the second player (my bro) into the water area, and glitch heaven ensues, we are simply floating endlessly in purgatory with lines of our characters movements showing up. Freeza was nowhere to be seen.
We were still fighting but constantly moving vertically at the speed of light. We had to reset the level.
- Did I mention glitches?
- Awkward controls, blasts that should hit but don't hit the enemy.
- Some piss hard enemies some really simple ones. The same goes for bosses.
- Standard two-player co-op fury (again, I played with my brother).
BUT.
- interesting concept. It was refreshing playing something other than a fighting game.
- No leveling up, but you can buy skills with the Z-coins. Collecting them is not hard at all.
- Pain in the ass to become a SSJ, but then again when you become one you completely dominate.
- Although glitchy and also stiff controls, pretty fun gameplay
- Nice cutscenes (though it is odd that the first ones were newly animated and the rest were taken from the anime).
- Really fun (when glitch free) as a 2 player experience.
- Nice music (you can really feel the Faulconer vibe though). Unfortunately it seems as if they have live 4 tracks for the whole game.
- Again, compared to all the fighting games, a refreshing experience.
So my conclusion is that all in all, DBZ Sagas seems as an awfully rushed production which makes it suffer greatly as a game.
I'm my opinion, though, I felt that overseeing those factors (albeit them being kinda...huge) it was a fun experience and a fun game to play with my brother.
Although I get the criticism the game gets (and that it is warranted), especially with fans buying it new (I bought it in excellent condition for a cheap price), in my opinion it is a game worth playing (except for if you have problems with high blood pressure, stroke, anger issues or a serious medical condition which may worsen by anger).
Then, I do not have very high standards when it comes to games either.
What are your thoughts about this game?
Is it in your opinion as shitty as its reputation?
And please, if you remember any hilarious glitches, please share.

It does show that Ginyu is indeed a champion at digging holes. I wonder if this is where Team Four Star got that idea?

I enjoyed it and would like another DBZ adventure game in the future.

Yeah, it felt like a beta mod of another game but I too enjoyed it, although it was definitely too easy.

Yeah I didn't get why he was digging holes either.Kamiccolo9 wrote:It does show that Ginyu is indeed a champion at digging holes. I wonder if this is where Team Four Star got that idea?

In truth for a PS2 game it was a lot of fun I mean the concept worked with the free roam fighting and the cut scenes from the anime I think us die hard fans got a kick out of it

Oh man, the glitches in this game were horrible. I remember being so disappointed when I got this game when it came out. I wouldn't feel that disappointment again until X Men Destiny came out for the PS3. I would love for another game in this style to come out for Dragon Ball if the developers would take the time to finish coding the game.
I'll come up with something clever. Just not now.

Oh man, the glitches in this game are almost fun in a way if you're coming in expecting them, rather than expecting...you know, a good gameplay experience.
I particularly enjoy the glitch I've had a few times where Nappa will like...flail and then attach to my character somehow, literally hanging on to them while I run around the screen wildly trying to get him off of me. Good times, good times...
I really like what the game was trying to be though, and would like another game that tries this concept again, just better. I really, really would.

I would want a dbz legacy of goku 2 rpg style game with new generation graphics.

"There are many types of monsters that scare me: Monsters who cause troubles without showing themselves, monsters who abduct children, monsters who devour dreams, monsters who suck blood… and then, monsters who tell nothing but lies. Lying monsters are a real nuisance: They are much more cunning than others: They pose as humans even though they have no understanding of the human heart; they eat even though they’ve never experienced hunger; they study even though they have no interest in academics; they seek friendship even though they do not know how to love. If I were to encounter such monsters, I would likely be eaten by them… because in truth, I am that monster."

That actually sounds good! I missed the leveling up part in this game. Of course, having GC/PS2 graphics would suffice IMO.enjyu123 wrote:I would want a dbz legacy of goku 2 rpg style game with new generation graphics.
And also a very flexible camera, especially for 2P Game Mode.

A 3DS comprehensive remake of the Legacy of Goku trilogy would be awesome.Godo wrote:That actually sounds good! I missed the leveling up part in this game. Yes, with multiplayer support! Fight Nappa with all of Earth's fighters! That would be great.Kamiccolo9 wrote:A 3DS comprehensive remake of the Legacy of Goku trilogy would be awesome.Godo wrote:That actually sounds good! I missed the leveling up part in this game. My thoughts is that the game is awful, I have on interest in ever playing it again.

All I hear on the internet about this game is glitches, glitches, glitches...
I've played this game completely. Multiple times over.
Never one single glitch...

Oh believe me. We played it through in two days (a couple of hours both days I'd say).hulkty wrote:All I hear on the internet about this game is glitches, glitches, glitches...

It was glitch heaven, I'll tell ya.
One huge glitch occurred so that we had to reset the game, and countless minor glitches (especially when it came to flying).
Consider yourself a lucky one.

I love Legacy 2 and Boo's Fury. Though Boo's Fury made SSJ overpowered as it had it's own ki bar.Kamiccolo9 wrote:A 3DS comprehensive remake of the Legacy of Goku trilogy would be awesome.Godo wrote:That actually sounds good! Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!
