I wouldn't cry too much over no localization. This is a fighting game on two region free platforms from a publisher that doesn't do online passes. The only thing you could miss by importing is some DLC, a potential nonsensical story mode, or some character banter in fights.
"I like the money it brings in, but Dragon Ball Heroes is the worst. That's actually the real reason I decided to start working on new material. I was afraid Bandai would make something irredeemably stupid like Super Saiyan 4 Broly." - Akira Toriyama, made up interview, 2013.

I just might import this as well, looks good. We need a DBZ game made with that engine though. Wish they could have added Yusuke though and maybe Yami Yugi.

Awesome video! Good to see how each of the so-far confirmed characters play, the Kochikame guy's style amused me. I was hoping to see Ichigo used his mask, really hope it's in this game.
I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!

Indeed it does.

This game's looking to be more worth purchasing than Battle of Z based off what I've seen on the videos and screens, but of course JSVV isn't an actual DBZ game whereas BoZ is.

It's definitely a must buy for PS3 anime brawler fans.

Anyone else notice that the stages look really big? This trailer was well worth the wait! I'm definitely importing!

This looks WAY better than battle of Z. Might have to import this one.

They could be in it yet, who knows. I highly doubt this is the entire cast shown so far. Never give up hope! (And c'mon, throw in Wingman too Shueisha, you know you want to!)

This game looks great. Also, did anyone else noticed "Goku Son"? Now I've seen everything.
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

That made me smile because that's the proper way of Goku's name, after all Son's the family name. :P

Yeah, but that's only proper from an English (well, probably more than that, but still) perspective - in Japan, the family name comes before the given name, don't forget. :P

And on another note, just finished watching the new trailer myself, and oh man - I want this game. I want it bad. Definitely something I'll have to import whenever I get a PS3 (cuz they are region free, yes?).

That's what I figured - if they were region-free across the board (like for DVDs and Blurays too), then there'd be much less issue over importing movies too. Still, the fact that I totally can buy this game and play it is an awesome thought.

This game doesn't need a demo because this trailer has just answered whatever questions the fans/newcomers/customers had.

It's 4 players in one battle arena right? This will be a lot of fun battling people online. :)

What all DBZ characters do you expect to be in? I say Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Gohan, and maybe Trunks.

Goku & Gohan, also maybe Freeza, Cell and Majin Buu (original, i.e, fat Buu). Not expecting much else of DBZ.

Where exactly would you buy imports?
How much extra do they cost?
What do you have to do to your PS3 or PS4 to play them?
Have a link to a site you've used?

(First to answer this and gets me to import the game gets a nice reward.)

I believe Play Asia usually have games for import. The price tends to be a little higher than American prices, especially when you include shipping.
